Weirdly, the cat was at Beech House emergency vets and dad was at Beech House nursing home. I hope they kept each other company on the way up.

5 years ago today, we lost my dad and my cat Jakeyboo on the same day. Technically, we lost dad years before as he had mixed dementia. All I've been able to think of today is how much he would have loved Coyote vs Acme.

I had an uncle in Jamaica who had a chalk cliffside in his garden which had caves - only ever went once up there, my mum wasn't too keen on bats.

I'm pretty impressed that I've knocked up a chicken and dumpling soup/stew in less than half an hour. Leftover chicken, frozen veg (gawd bless already chopped frozen soffrito) and chicken boullion powder; plus Atora.

Oh i am - working on the kitchen at the moment; it's not just a spring clean, I'm literally going cupboard by cupboard and being ruthless with the chucking out. Currently tripping over a bag of old pots that need to go to the tip.

You have to set the filters twice - when you go on Rightmove the first options don't give you the full range of filters. Once you've entered what you can and hit search, go into filters again and it gives you more options.

We've had a plague of them, too. Cider vinegar and a drop of washing up liquid in a tea cup, cling film over the top, little holes in the cling film and they climb in and drown.
