British-Canadian 🇬🇧 🇨🇦 and still European 🇪🇺. Love film, art, design, theatre, the finest cheese, and now knitting! 🧶 Note, I’m not LH the writer ✍️ and I do not post interesting stuff, or at least I try not to.

Does this mean people will revert back to saying ‘the’ World Cup, rather than just FIFA. And can we bring back more colourful logos from host nations and stop splattering ‘FIFA’ everywhere, remove FIFA merchandise from fanzone events and the WC stadiums? It’s always been the World Cup, not FIFA.

Interesting how the logos compare over the years too.

Dunno, I still haven’t finished reading Wes Streeting’s resignation letter.

Very impressed with YYZ and the Air Canada crew for getting us home and landing us safely in Toronto at 4pm today in this crazy weather. The UP Express train took us downtown, and the TTC subway very nearly got me home but had to stop just 3 blocks from home. #yyz #ttc #upexpress #toronto #aircanada

The possibilities are endless. Don’t get me started: www.artofit.org/image-galler...

Agree, although I’ve always admired the ‘Mona Lisa with Banana’ 🍌 The original mural can be viewed in Kensington Market Toronto and there are no long queues!
A photo of an outdoor mural of the Mona Lisa in Kensington Market Toronto. Unlike the original painting, in this version she’s holding a banana and sitting alongside a basket of fruit.

In Britain one of the wildest tabloid front pages reported that a very famous comedian had eaten a live hamster 🐹

Finally completed knitting my vintage looking tank top to match this pretty Liberty print shirt. Level completed 🌟 and a new project is unlocked!! 🔓
Photo of a hand knitted tank top in a plum/aubergine colour with a complex pattern of cabling. It’s styled with a Liberty print shirt underneath. A bundle of beige coloured yarn balls by ‘Isager’. On top of the bundle is a pair of knitting needles with 2” inches of knitting started. Sitting alongside this is a printed paper knitting pattern of a jumper.
