Carbon pricing works! "Under Canada's carbon pricing, households were 3 times more responsive to a change of gasoline price from the carbon price than to just fluctions. They expected it to be permanent, so they made bigger changes." - Marc Hafstead #CCLinDC #GrassrootsClimate @cclusa.org

It's really helpful to see this big-picture timeline of CCL's action on permitting reform, and how the individual actions they've asked us to do throughout the past year ladder up into a larger strategy. Thanks Jen Tyler! #CCLinDC #GrassrootsClimate

My letter about saving transit funding got published in @mercurynews.com 😊. Thanks @connectbayarea.bsky.social for providing the opportunity to volunteer and collect signatures. Local friends, if you haven't signed yet, hit me up, or check connectbayarea.com for upcoming events where you can sign.
Screen shot of a letter to the editor in the newspaper, with the following text:

Do your part to save Bay Area transit

Re: “Rail future on shaky ground” (Page A1, Feb. 23).

I rely on transit to get to work, visit my family, visit my friends and run errands. We have a wonderful transit system here in the Bay Area. It’s easy to critique the details, but I love that I can get where I need to go using just my Clipper Card and my own two feet, and that transit reduces traffic and keeps our air cleaner.

The possible transit cuts are terrifying. I signed up as a volunteer to collect signatures for the ballot measure to keep our system strong and useful. It’s been good to see how many people in the community support transit and want to sign, and we need all the signatures we can get.

If someone asks you to sign the petition for the ballot measure to the Public Transit Revenue Measure District, please do sign. Or better yet, join me as a volunteer.

NCAR is quite literally our global mothership. Everyone who works in climate and weather has passed through its doors and benefited from its incredible resources. Dismantling NCAR is like taking a sledgehammer to the keystone holding up our scientific understanding of the planet. Unbelievable.
