The debugger can now watch device registers such as Akiko's and the CIAs', logging each CPU access with its value, PC and beam position. A new trace times every command the CD32 sends its drive, from issue to last sector. 🧵 3/5

Desktop netplay now seats up to four players. Players 3 and 4 use the parallel-port four-player adapter, as they would around one Amiga. The host relays everyone's input, so only the host needs to be reachable. 🧵 2/5

Copperline 0.20 now has a shortcut which converts the previous 10 seconds of gameplay into a GIF. So, of course I tried it with an early developer build of @brazengameplay.bsky.social's UrbX Warriors. Still 4 days left if you want to back UrbX: www.kickstarter.com/projects/ton...

Save states now have thumbnails, so you can see where you left off. You can also save a GIF of the last few seconds of a game or demo. Paula audio has had some attention too, with less aliasing. More details at www.patreon.com/Copperline/p... 🧵 5/5

I’ve also rebuilt the debugging workspace. The Amiga screen sits beside the CPU debugger, Frame Analyzer and Console. You can inspect a frame, edit memory and see what the machine is doing, all in the same window. 🧵 3/5

My friends Stoo Cambridge and @tonywarriner.bsky.social created @brazengameplay.bsky.social, they are developing a new Amiga. It is only fitting that I run a dev build of it on the A4000 I restored that Stoo used to own in the 90s. Back it on Kickstarter! www.kickstarter.com/projects/ton...

Lots of fun toys coming to Copperline 0.16, including a redesign of the 1084 look. For now, here is Lotus Esprit Turbo Challenge running from today’s build. Fun fact: that car was built near where I live. #Amiga

It may have been overkill, but I took the datasheet of the Philips tube used in the Commodore 1084 monitor and used it to recalculate the angles of the CRT shader in Copperline. This is almost ready to be included in the next release. #Amiga

Copperline 0.14.0 is out. Your #Amiga can now read the real floppies on your desk (Greaseweazle/DrawBridge/SupercardPro), join your real LAN, and run Picasso II RTG on 24-bit machines. Plus a 1084 monitor bezel + CRT shaders. www.patreon.com/Copperline/p...

Did someone say #Amiga 1200 AGA? No? Well, I’ve added it to the web version of Copperline anyway 🙂 copperline.dev/try/

Copperline 0.13 will have #Amiga 4000 emulation working well enough to run m68k Debian Linux (a really old version of Debian at least).

The web version of Copperline has had a lot of feedback from @retro32.bsky.social. Huge number of features and fixes for it deployed. Have a play if you want an #Amiga in your browser! copperline.dev/try

I know what you are not asking, can the Copperline #Amiga emulator run in my mobile browser? Turns out the answer is “yes” anyway 🙂

Copperline #Amiga emulator 0.11.0 is out! New features since 0.9.0 include video and audio debugging, debug console and video underlay on the frame debugger. Nearly 300 commits, 23 new features and 59 bug fixes from 0.9.0 to 0.11.0, we have come a long way.

I'm going on a long weekend holiday, so Copperline 0.10.0 won't be released until after I'm back. But in the mean time, here is a new feature that has been added. #Amiga

Copperline #Amiga emulator 0.8.0 has been released, and this is one for those who prefer GUIs to command line. There is now a launcher that appears if you do not use command line options. copperline.dev

A week ago I showed you Doom on the @wolfssl.com wolfDemo board I designed. This weekend I have: * VU meter using the wolf bark bars * Audio (OPL2 music and SFX) * I2C gamepad support * Massively enhanced rendering engine (maxes out the video SPI when music is off)

Wherever there is a new computer, embedded or not, someone asks if you can run Doom on it. Last year I created the wolfSSL wolfDemo board. Today I managed to get Doom running on it. There is no sound, so the LEDs act like a VU meter for the sound effects. I haven’t wired up a controller yet either.

Related to my previous post, anyone know how to make OpenOCD actually work? Couldn't make it work with a genuine Pico debugger either. I had to use Segger's GUI to do this instead.

Andrew (LinuxJedi) Hutchings @linuxjedi.co.uk · 12/02/2026
I was asked to run a benchmark for an algorithm on a Pico today. It turned into a complex debugging session to figure out I forgot to byte align correctly 🤦‍♂️

This year for #FOSDEM I gave a demonstration of wolfSSL cryptographic benchmarks on the wolfDemo board I designed. Question for next year, should I demo it on an Amiga instead? 🙂

The fun thing about doing #FOSDEM is not many people come to see me due to my current day job. It is either for #Amiga stuff or my open source work in the past 😁 Time to return home…

Sometimes I'm proud of the small things I've done in the past. This is a glowing lightsaber for my LinuxJedi logo I designed into a PCB 4 years ago. It is brighter at the bottom than top (intentionally) and it worked first time. My theory worked perfectly.

Posted mostly because @kari.bsky.social said it would be cool to see it, my current soldering setup. JBC T210, T245, PA120 tweezers, DR560 desoldering gun, JT 6040 hot air / tripod vacuum system. Also, watch Kari's videos if you are into retro stuff and on a soldering journey.

It seems JBC used my nickname on a package. I can't see it on my account anywhere, but it put a smile on my face 🙂
