At today's Sound Transit board meeting, Dow Constantine says that systems integration testing on the 2 Line across Lake Washington has ramped up, with trains crossing the bridge seven days a week, from 8pm to 7am.

BREAKING: Sound Transit expects to conduct its first LIVE WIRE test on the I-90 bridge TONIGHT, at around 11pm. "A single light rail vehicle will travel at incremental speeds between 10 and 55 mph to test power systems between Mercer Island and Judkins Park stations, including the I-90 bridge."

A world first, right here in our region. Today, a Link light rail train crossed a floating bridge on rails for the very first time — marking a huge milestone for the 2 Line. We’ll be sharing more photos and videos soon, so stay tuned!

A kinkisharyo link light rail train currently sits at the east end of the I-90 bridge ahead of testing today. The train will be pushed along the tracks, not under its own power. This is part of 2 line testing for the east link extension
