Open Source hot take: A software project is allowed to be *done*. Not everything needs to add features or rewrite things. You can just be happy with functionality and focus on just maintainance. "Maintenance mode" is not always bad but can just show a mature product.

I installed Anki on my Mac just so that I can practice daily when I’m at my desk and I did a couple of decks… it felt tiring just trying to recall so many different unrelated things across different decks but that’s probably normal since I haven’t used Anki again

When I open the downloads folder in my dock, the icon still uses the Tahoe-styled one (which has a -45 degree lighting angle) instead of the newer Golden Gate–styled one (which has a 0 degree lighting angle, so no diagonal lighting)

it feels crazy but eh, it's just nonsense... I could've put Iocaine in front on Nontrinsic but I doubt it would do anything, and even then all they're getting is nonsense anyway and my home server is fine with all that requests

Good news: I have set up a replica of Supabase (just the nonsense database) and now Nontrinsic (the nonsense database and the web app) is mostly on my home server with auth/submission still being on the main Supabase instance (I am letting the bots in now because why not)

I just realized that the reduce blur effect is enabled by default on my phone with LineageOS (no idea why) but now that I disabled it, it felt like a revelation idk
