Not only is there a 2015 Netflix version which I was completely unaware of, but there were DOZENS (41 by imdb's count) of adaptations or exploitations of Boccaccio's Decameron following the 1971 version, some of which are... interesting to say the least:

Then I saw this one, which does a lovely job with the frame narrative of the Decameron. In college I spent countless hours studying the D in the original and in English, so this one was interesting to see. And then I discovered... www.youtube.com/watch?v=hKQa...

What with all the talk of literary adaptations on film... Earlier this year I watched the 1971 adaptation of Boccaccio's Decameron, which was promoted with this absolutely bonkers trailer (watch with sound for full effect). And then... www.youtube.com/watch?v=FA3R...

Just about 20 spaces are left, the day after registration opened. Reasons this conference is so popular year after year: diverse, high-quality speakers on a broad range of topics, great social events, a balance of learning and fun, and "the best company."

Who's going to the Jane Austen Soc of North America's conference (AGM) in Tucson this year? Lots of "clever, well-informed people, who have a great deal of conversation." Registration opened today, but there are still spots left. #jasna #austen #18thcentury #c18 web.cvent.com/event/babe70...

Caregiving is female, it is VASTLY undercompensated, and every government agency and male taxpayer benefits from women’s unpaid and underpaid work. Caregiving is a Feminist Issue, it’s an equality issue, it’s an equal justice issue, and it’s a racial justice issue.

America's millennial daughters are sacrificing their careers to care for aging boomer parents
Unpaid caregiving costs the average American woman $295,000 in lost wages and retirement savings over a lifetime, jeopardizing her financial future.

I encountered this case while researching the Lushington family, one of whom was occupying Tichborne Park as a tenant when 'Roger' appeared. As I recall, Franklin Lushington initially was party to a lawsuit against Roger and then became convinced, for some reason, that he was the genuine heir.

There are so many ways that archival collections and thus histories can be amplified or silenced --including digitization. This was one of my efforts at describing how that works, and the implications. www.historians.org/perspectives...
