like. girl. there are NO material conditions for a revolution. the majority of the population still falls for right wing agenda. despite capitalism shitting itself, people still fall for the rhetoric that it's identity politics and affirmative actions causing an economic crisis.

sure, that's maintaining the status quo, but i'm not going to reject this and sit on my chair patiently waiting for a revolution that's possibly never happening. if I did that, then i'd be misaligned with reality, ignoring people's struggles that are happening NOW, in the present.

the only time we've had ANYTHING was under social democrat leftist governments. sure, not saying they're perfect, but welfare policies, free public healthcare, free public education, and affirmative actions for minorities are SOMETHING. social democracy is only evil because capitalism is evil.

sure, both dems and reps are evil because the USA is inherently evil, and the USA election system is bipartisan in practice and therefore an illusion of choice, but at least one isnt a virus spreading globally and intervening in other countries politics. some of us still enjoy living in a democracy

There’s truth in that, but there’s also some nuance we shouldnt ignore: these far-right movements arent contained in a single nation. theyre spreading globally. allowing them to win in one country makes it easier for them to spread to others.
