It doesn't outright crash either, it just hangs. No stacktrace unless you use an external debugger :D Also did not exaggerate the randomness: the above stacktrace was after six hours of running the game, iirc. But it could also sometimes show up after just 5min. Yay race conditions :D

afaik any 4.6+ project (maybe even earlier, not sure) using GodotPhysics3D and "Run on a separate thread" ticked, it's *that* random lol Here's a screen of the stack trace I managed to get then, if that helps. It was seemingly reported and fixed for Jolt (issue 113627) but not for GodotPhysics

the worst godot bug I found was FULLY RANDOM. It could occur within five minutes, or not at all for seven hours. It deadlocks the game at random specifically if you have physics on a separate thread with GodotPhysics3D. Darn thing nearly drove me insane. (It's still there in recent versions btw.)

Well Dweller is such a beautiful game There's clear inspiration from Hollow Knight, some Celeste in there, I think a bit of Little Nightmares, and it's got such a wonderful creepy/cute vibe to it, real creepy children's fairytale kinda thing going. I'd nearly immediately recommend it.

If you've never looked into how Crash bandicoot on ps1 was made, I'd give that a read too! The sheer amount of tricks they used is insane, they brought the hardware to its limits and then some

Little reminder that Aniimo, while not proven to use genAI for the game itself (though I highly suspect they have), did use it for their ads and plan to have Nvidia ACE integrated for AI NPCs. It's not exactly hard to find, they've made a blog post about it. No excuse. :)
