I am grateful to see that we have preserved the original names of so many places here in Minnesota. Our accent too, is heavily influenced by these same phonemes. I think it shows a history of cooperation, in the face of such conflicts. We cannot quite pay it back, but we should pay it forward.

I love my home and my state, but I refuse to let cold feet kill this many people. Logistics for moving refugees from Minnesota to anywhere else is non-trivial. They will need volunteers and busses. It’s time to step up. Not for yourself, but for people who have had everything stolen from them.

2 million displaced refugees need a home, due to the reckless policies of this administration. I can understand why someone might shy away from talks of sovereignty, and quite frankly the name is arbitrary. The fact is that most of these people are not legal citizens, and will die without support.

The US has a peace treaty to protect reservation territory. The @usarmy.bsky.social has an obligation to protect A/AN reservations from existential threats. If America 2 is to be treated “as a reservation”, then any refugees must also be protected while we sort this out. It’s contractual.
