All those years of working retail I can't not say hi 🤣 But I try not to be too intense. A pleasant but simple acknowledgement of their presence to start. Not super exuberant unless they're bringing that energy. If they're hyped about seeing an animal I have, I'll join in the hype!

I like to bring something to work on that I can do while talking or easily put down so I'm not too intently focused on the people coming up to my space but also engaged. And so I'm not overthinking how awkward I'm being 🤣 I say hello & kinda of just follow their lead from how they responded to a hi

It's going to be over 100 today. I didn't think I'd have to explain the concept that you can't have the ac successfully cool a very large room when you leave the outside doors to that very large room wide open 🙃

Yeah, maybe. I've just not knit may fitted things or with cables and this has both so trying to compensate for the difference might be more than I can tackle

Swatched in stockinette and blocked. The original looks like to be 2 different wools and my yarn is a wool and bamboo. Seems like quite a few people have trouble with getting the row gauge although mine seems a bit more extreme

110

Little World of Beasts 🐾 @lilworldofbeasts.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

Did a swatch for a new pattern. Row gauge is spot on but I'm only getting 36 rows instead of 42 rows 🫤 It looks like a complicated pattern so I'm not sure if I have the skills to adjust accordingly.🧶

Thanks. Although I think I made it too long for the dresses I wanted to wear it with. And the length was determined with the cast on so I'd have to frog it to do a shorter length.🫤 We'll see once it's finished being seamed and I've tried a few wears.

I mean I guess technically this isn't done done. I have to seam the arm and neck and weave in a few ends. But after the seaming on the purple sweater this should be easy least

Blocking day! Finished knitting the 2nd panel of my Stratum top on Thur so making the most of the warm weather today 🧶 Finished the purple sweater I was working on too except tiding up a few spots where I wove in my ends. But that means I only have 2 WIPs so time to start at least one new project!

I know it doesn't look like much but our efforts to do something with the front yard have been a succes 😍 Not a ton of weeds and I've managed to keep all 6 of the native plants we bought alive all summer! Once the botanical garden native plant shop opens again definitely going to get a few more 🌱

I've been holding on to the points for a favorite color or a new style but with the loyalty program changing soon I might as well use them before I forget and lose them. $60 off is not something you wanna let go to waste!

Thank goodness for short videos on the fitness app I subscribe to. Sometimes after work I'm just really not feeling a work out. But I have built enough of a good habit my brain can guilt me in to at least trying to do a short video when my only reason for not exercising is a desire to be lazy 😂

Just ordered a bunch of new sticker designs! So happy Bluesky friends were able to help me find some small businesses who can do small amounts of many designs. Got some samples last year and they held up super well so finally placed an order to just about double our selection for fall shows 😁

Victory! A Thursday night movie that started at 10:30 was not a popular time as suspected. Coyote vs Ace was delightful! A successful movie going experience 🥳 Although this might have to be an extra coffee day for getting to bed so late 😂

Here's hoping very few other people decide to go to a movie at 10:30 pm on a week night! I never go to the movies anymore because I always end up next to someone who talks the entire film 😡 But hopefully this late if I end up next to someone like that there will be enough free seats to relocate.

Weaving in ends so I can put off tackling the seaming for the 2nd arm. I finally got the first one done on try 6 😂 I wish it looked a little cleaner but not bad for a the first time doing knitting a sweater in individual pieces like this 🧶

1st time trying to seam the sleeves for a cardigan knit in piece...some how the sleeve is too big for the arm hole but also too small 😭 I'm clearly doing something wrong but that's a problem for future me. After at least 5 attempts to seam this sleeve tonight I'm at peak frustration levels 🧶

Got my heart rate zone minutes today registering for an art fair😂 Submitting my information quickly enough to have a shot at my favorite booth space stresses me out! Which is ridiculous because I know that even if I don't get my favorite space I'm probably going to get one of my other 4 picks 🙃

Blocking! Everything is lining up nicely and I didn't really need to do any stretching to hit my measurements. But it definitely could be blocked with some more stretch if it's too small once seamed 🧶 This pattern is light on instructions so I'm a little nervous about how attaching the arms work 😬

I haven't posted about this sweater in at least a month but I finished the back, both front panels and both sleeves 🧶 Now to seam it all before blocking and doing the collar. Wish me luck! Seaming and blocking are my least favorite parts 😂 🧶

A pile of knitted purple pieceswith stockinette and 2x2 rubbing that will hopefully turn into a long line cardigan when seamed 🤞

I swear everything with Shopify has become such an uphill battle. Everything is harder to find, harder to use, and slower. Just the handful of ornaments we've made these last few months in prep for fall art fairs 🤣 Just need to be hand sewn and stuffed! I usually only completely finish one of each animal so they take up less space for transport to the show and I sew the mostly done ones at the show as needed 🪡

A large variety of handmade felt aniamal ornaments waiting to be sewn and stuffed. We got elephants, aardvarks, sloths, cats, dogs, raccoons, opossums, dispalcer beats, unicorns, pandas, bearded dragons... I could go on 😂
