The downside of my friend choosing Pink Pony Club as her final song for her funeral is that now I'm crying at the supermarket because it's playing over the speakers.

Today I said farewell to a great friend, taken by cancer far too young and far too fast. Grief is such an impossible feeling. Look after each other in this life, it's the only thing that really matters 💜

There's many things they don't tell you about pregnancy, birth and post-partum unless you seek the information yourself. But even after reading about it myself and why it happens, the breastfeeding uterus contractions? Absolutely unfair. Like what the fuck.

Children do not “belong to parents”. Children are not property. They are people with rights and parents and guardians are responsible for upholding those rights

A doctor’s opinion piece ignores the ongoing dismissal of women’s pain, mis-characterises the historical failure to study all aspects of women’s bodies, hormones, healthcare & medication effects, & mansplains why medical ‘misogyny’ is the ‘wrong’ term for it! Pfft. www.theage.com.au/national/doc...

Doctors don’t hate women, but we can be idiots

I’m not a misogynist. But it’s fair to say that medicine doesn’t understand women as well as it should.

Teenagers who think that they're superior for exclusively reading classic literature are mad at me on twitter. I got A's at school reading and analysing literature and then would go home and read Vampire Academy. Being pretentious will not make people enjoy literature.

Ask most Australians who they think is responsible for the most heinous immigration laws and they will probably pick the Coalition. In reality Labor introduced mandatory detention, offshore processing, “no boat arrival will ever settle here” and these terrible new deportation laws. Bipartisan evil.

Labor: yes so our crappy social media legislation had major privacy concerns, and so instead of doing proper consultations on the bill we've handed the Libs a massive pre-election win where they get to say they are the reason SM companies can't request your ID we are very smart.

Pretending Labor has not been absolutely inting this whole term will not lead to them winning the election. Like I cannot emphasise this enough. Telling people who are struggling that they're actually not will = you lose. Every time. Its a reality check not an endorsement of Dutton.

Watching Labor decide their election strategy is painful. It's a room full of people who are so disconnected from the average person that they think "look at this shiny graph that shows how well we're managing the economy" will distract people from their empty wallets.

The political elite have sent a clear message here in Victoria today. They care more about the Myer Christmas Window than the struggles of real people. You cannot bring attention to injustice, because the window is tradition and tradition is what keeps the halls of power in their hands.
