At the same time the guy saying Spotify is dead completely misunderstands how a huge number, maybe the majority, engage with music. When I say 'engage', for them it's background noise. If the playlist of their choice is 90% AI with a couple of hits, they wouldn't notice.

I wish I had the confidence of other replies. I'm afraid there's probably a majority of people that really treat music as background noise and they don't really connect with it that much. AI doesn't kill Spotify, it's their dream. Playlists where they don't have to pay anyone.

I don't see much happening beyond title stripping, big monetary fine and perhaps demotion. All survivable. Especially with their backers. I think the idea of other clubs suing for lost revenue is a non starter because it's impossible to prove where a correctly run Man City ends up.

I think the compensation claims are a non-starter, difficult to prove they wouldn't have won anyway. Unless of course they decide players were ineligible and overturn all the results as 3-0 losses. That would be interesting.

Sadly I doubt it, and I've not been receiving replies my entire 30yr working life. What I'm experiencing now that is new is the main recruitment agency handling off initial sift to other agencies. So now there's two rounds of agency meetings before you get near the actual employer. It's exhausting.

A lot of people will no doubt think calls for MON to go are knee jerk but despite the initial league wins, I've not seen universal praise. Quite the opposite in fact. The general feeling I've seen is that we've mostly struggled across the line in a continuation of the end of last season.

This is why I think last season papered the cracks. He came in and the players had enough muscle memory from being coached properly that motivational management got them over the line. That and hearts bottle crashing.
