#AlphabetChallenge #WeekMForMachinery Imaginary machinery is also machinery. #EastCoastKin #ECK #Photography #Museum #CODA #Art

A portrait format colour photo of an imaginary machine consisting of some screens, a bunch of antenna's on top, a wheel in the middel and weird computer guts on the side with lots of chips. It has colours, wires and leads to a very long think about what this thing can or should do.

#AlphabetChallenge #WeekMForMachinery The actual Hassie that made some of the most impressive album covers of all time. This is the one used by Hipgnosis for some of the Pink Floyd albums. Not a spectacular photo, but there is a story here.

A colour photo, not really a good one, of a hasselblad medium format camera.

#AlphabetChallenge #WeekMForMachinery Part of a printing press, the old fashioned kind. It makes such an exhilarating noise when in operation. The repeating patterns are amazing to listen to. #EastCoastKin #ECK #Photography #Vintage #ClassicMono #BlackAndWhite

A landscape format black and white photo of a part of a mechanical printing press. Bottom right you can see something that resembles a key bord with weird mechanical keys. Some bars, handles and other technical thingamajiggies make up for the rest. Hard black and white contrast.

#BlueSkyArtShow #UrbanGaze I see a red wall. #EastCoastKin #ECK #Photography #aofoto #aoFotoCall #AccidentalArtist

A landscape format colour photo of a red painted brick wall, a kerb in front of it with a couple of elements. Dead center a small piece of greens, a bit in the shape of a p climbing against the wall. On the left a white window, the old fashioned one with six separate small ones. On the right on the kerb a small concrete pole or bollard. And on the top right a street sign with the name "koestraat" on it, which translates as cow street.

The photo is taken form a low vantage point at sunset. The horizon is about in the middle of the picture, the sun is in the dead center and there are dramatic clouds everywhere with a sliver of light coming through at the horizon and reflecting in the background water and the bottle on the foreground. The bottle is really wel lit, but the water around it in the foreground is dark, almost black.

#BlueSkyArtShow #HumansOfBlueSky Selfportrait #EastCoastKin #ECK #Photography #ClassicMono #BlackAndWhite

A landscape black and white shot of my legs on a modern couch. I'm wearing a fishnet stocking and high heels (feet at the left, little bit of me showing at the right). My leg on the far end rests on the arm rest and the front leg is bent at the knee, foot in the high heel on the seating area of the couch. I'm wearing a very short black skirt, so most of the legs is showing. A soft, elegant light is coming from the top left.

#BlueSkyArtShow #WaterfallWednesday Somewhere in the Swiss mountains in the spring. #EastCoastKin #ECK #Photography #Nature #Scape #Frozen

A landscape colour photo of a very small waterfall. You are looking up across some moss covered rocks to the edge of the waterfall. Bits of snow here and there because it is spring.

#AlphabetChallenge #WeekMForMachinery Details matter! #BlueSkyArtShow #Photography #TrainSpotting #ClassicMono #BlackAndWhite

A landscape black and white photo of a detailed shot of the connecting mechanism between the first wheel of a steam locomotive and the piston that goes into the cylinder. A heavy contrast image with a huge nut on the wheel. Banged up metal, smaller nuts and bolts. A very graphical view of this part of the machinery.

A landscape colour photo of a light green modern vase with red tulips on on an old fashioned small French cafe table. Louis the fourteenth style with a couple cafe chairs around it. In the background is a different table visible, much more modern and a little above that on a plank a bottle of rosé. Left of the rose is a candle holder for a single candle. Old fashioned silver coloured type with a burning with candle in it. And behold, there is even an ash tray on the table, indicating this was a long time ago when smoking inside a cafe was still allowed in the Netherlands.

#AlphabetChallenge #WeekMForMachinery I know I promised loads of b/w pictures, but this has to be in here as well. Generating power for machinery by the wind. Question: I've considered cutting the bottom off, what do you think? #EastCoastKin #ECK #Scape #Photography #Windmills #Power #Silhouette

A colour landscape photo of a bunch of windmills going from left to right and from smaller in the background to bigger and filling the whole height on the right side of the frame. There are some small buildings on the bottom of the picture, barely visible. I did consider cutting them off, but it looked weird. The background goes from a light orange on the bottom to an off white on the top left corner because the sun is somewhere on the left side of the frame. The flow of the somewhat oval gradient is about the same as the top of the windmills. The windmills are all silhouettes due to that fact. They look like thorny plants on straights stems.

#AlphabetChallenge #WeekMForMachinery #BlueSkyArtShow #MonochromeMonday I'll be bothering you this entire week with a series of machineries in, mostly, black and white! 🥳 #EastCoastKin #ECK #Photography #Industrial #ClassicMono #BlackAndWhite

A black and white landscape photo of a close up of the first wheel of a steam locomotive. The photo is taken from the right and a bit above the wheel so you can see the big metal rods and stuff go into the cylinder. The whole things is high contrast black and white, more black than white by the way, and has a very oily look to it. You can almost smell this picture. Loads of bigger and smaller nuts mostly. Connecting everything together to make it go.

#BlueSkyArtShow #ClassicMono #EastCoastKin #ECK #Photography #Interior #Patterns #Repeat #BlackAndWhite

A landscape black and white photo, taken from eyes height looking at a bunch of neatly spread out chairs in rows, where each next row is half a chair to the left of the other. Looking to the middle and top of the frame the pattern seems to run away. The is emphasized by the light that lights up the chairs in the same direction, but from the back. The edges of the chairs sort of glow up. They are sleek and polished because of the many people that sat in them. The chairs themselves are of the simple wooden kind you would find at your grandparents dining table or a simple, rural French restaurant.

#AlphabetChallenge #WeekMForMachines In the old paper mill. The older, the more I like it! #EastCoastKin #ECK #Photography #Urbex #Vintage

A landscape colour photo of the side view of some large, very old and rusty, flywheel (in the center) with a belt that runs to the right of the frame and out of sight. Behind that on the right another old rusty wheel of some sorts.

The left side show plants that have been growing there for a while. The concrete background wall contains two windows with iron frames at the top of the photo. There are harsh shadows on the wall due to the low sun and the roof that is completely gone, so you only see shadows of the steel framing.

Needless to say this factory has not been in use for a long time.

A landscape colour photo of red modern arch bridge over a big river viewed from the front right. The sky contains clouds that are lit up by the setting sun. From the left dark clouds are moving in, but the light on the bridge gives it a very moody feel. Storm is about to happen. The water colour and intensity also changes from nice and light in the right to almost black on the left under the bridge.

A landscape colour photo of a highway taken from above and dead center. Left you see stripes of yellow and white, going from bottom left to middle top and on the right side there are, of course, red stripes going from bottom right to middle top.

There are a couple stripes on both sides with some jumps in it, indicating a passing action. The background is almost entirely black. A classic long shutter speed photo of a highway.

#AlphabetChallenge #WeekLForLookingIn and #WaterfallWednesday Looking straight into a passing waterfall from behind. Lac Mauvoisin, Suisse 🇨🇭. One of the largest reservoirs in Europe. #EastCoastKin #ECK #BlueSkyArtShow #Photography #Nature #Switzerland #Suisse

A portrait colour photo, albeit there is not much colour in there, I swear, I did not make it black and white, but it almost looks that way. You are looking from the left into an opening in a cave with loads of water passing. Droplets, splashes, everywhere. Despite the relatively fast shutter speed there is a lot of motion going on because the water is going down hill very fast. The water is sort of framed by the rocks around it and the sun comes in so the water is almost pure white. The entire vibe is a bit blue and it was cold at 2500 meter height!

#AlphabetChallenge #WeekLForLookingIn The eyes are the window to the soul #EastCoastKin #ECK #Photography #Cow #Closeup #Portrait

A color landscape photo of a close up of the head of a cow, shot from the front and a bit left of her. About a quarter of the left side of her head is visible. One eye, and one ear. You can see, a bit more vague, a part of her body on the left side of the frame. The head is on the right. She is looking directly into the camera with said eye. You can even see the clear blue sky reflecting in her eye. There is a yellow label in her ear. It's a traditional Dutch black and white cow. The sun is setting and gives her a very warm feel and light yellow glow.

#BlueSkyArtShow #ColorADay #BlueTue An art installation with neon tubes #EastCoastKin #ECK #Photography #Art #GroningerMuseum

A landscape colour photo of an art installation consisting of crooked neon tubes in light blue against a dark blue background. The tubes sort of originate on the left and down side of the frame and extend outwards like a sort of explosion of light or lightning. The center of the art work is all tangled up. It's so very fascinating and my written words do not do it justice, sorry about that.

#BlueSkyArtShow #Minimalism #EastCoastKin #ECK #Photography #Snow #Suisse

A landscape colour photo of about 10 leafs of grass in the snow. The grass is centered but the snow makes up the greater part of the picture. The snow is even white with a touch of grey. The image is very minimalistic, though the white can, upon very close inspection, definitely be classified as snow, it is not bright white. A strong reminder that life will find a way.

#AlphabetChallenge #WeekLForLookingIn A water "painting" of light and reflections. #EastCoastKin #ECK #Photography #Reflection #Perspective #UpSideDown

A landscape colour photo of a distorted house, on the left, with a red roof in warm yellow light along a canal. Right the beginnings of another, white and bigger, house with a tree in front.

The whole image is distorted because I took a picture of just the reflection of the house and a touch of non reflected grass in the front, in the calm water with a tiny bit of waves and flipped it upside down, or rather downside up. It looks a bit surreal and weird now.

A landscape black and white photo of four high church windows, upside down, reflecting in a pool of water on some concrete. The church windows look a bit distorted and weird due to the not very uniform puddle on the concrete. It makes for a very surreal image. The roof of the image goes from about down left corner to just below middle right of the frame. It is not a very contrast rich image so it is not very hard to look at and it is quite calming on this sunday.

A landscape colour photo of a sunset. The front layer of the frame is a cattle fence. Two strings of barbed wire from left to right and a metal fence pole at about two thirds from the right. The sun is behind the fence pol. Top one third of the frame is dark clouds. In the middle clear skies, all warm and yellow from the setting sun. Bottom third of the frame is a wavy landscape of grass fields. A few small pieces of grass in the fence light up with the sun behind them, barely visible.
