That's actually such a good shout, god I miss when that card was £3 😩

🌻 Lich 🍄 @lichplx.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

I *love* this trio of cards from the 30th Celebration set! I was fortunate enough to pull two and buy the third from a friend. Thinking of creating a binder page of similarly themed #Pokemon - does anyone have any ideas of what I could add to the list? 🤔

Three Pokemon cards arranged in order depicting Galarian Meowth, Kanto Meowth, and Alolan Meowth on a stairwell that connects across all three cards.

4-1 with Festival Lead in the first Challenge of the season! 💪 I got *really* lucky with my matchups because the room was full of Slowking and I dodged them all. R1. Kangaskhan-Bastodion ❌✅❌ R2. Dragapult-Dusknoir ✅❌✅ R3. Beedrill ✅✅ R4. Mega Lucario ✅✅ R5. Mega Sharpedo ✅❌✅ 2nd place out of 26! 🎉

Oh, and the most controversial thing perhaps is swapping Shaymin for Psyduck. I just anticipated an uptick in Pult-Noir and Alakablam decks after Worlds, so wanted to be safe. 😅 I have a Challenge coming up this weekend, so we'll see if I made a stupid call!

🌻 Lich 🍄 @lichplx.bsky.social · 08/09/2026

My current Festival Lead list! Even though the no-apples deck did best at Worlds, I think that's mad so maintain a 3-3 line. I swapped out Lana for Sacred Ash to have one less supporter getting in the way of Gladeon, and upped to x2 Night Stretcher for more energy recovery vs single prizers.

I'm old enough to remember the fan anger around the cel-shaded Wind Waker art style - which, nowadays, is largely beloved. What's most important is the game *feels* and *plays* well, and that the art matches that vibe. #Zelda #OcarinaofTime #ZeldaRemake

I think this transcends Pokemon - these days enjoying something is often about very vocally signalling that you are the biggest, truest fan of something. I think social media aesthetics plus "oh no the niche thing I used to like is now mainstream" has manifested in this weird nasty gatekeepy vibe

🌻 Lich 🍄 @lichplx.bsky.social · 30/08/2026

While #PokemonWorlds2026 looks amazing, there's a lot of social media buzz about how busy it is - no timeslots available for events, huge queues, merch running out - so I checked the attendance... FIFTY THOUSAND PEOPLE, apparently 🫪 For context, EUIC 2026 had 17k attendees.

010

🌻 Lich 🍄 @lichplx.bsky.social · 24/08/2026

Seaking/Bangle/Gladeon currently OHKOs Pult and Excadrill, and the four cards you draw from it are nice after ditching your hand to get Gladeon to work, I don't think I'll be dropping to 1-1 anytime soon, not with how my locals looks atm anyway! 😁

100

🌻 Lich 🍄 @lichplx.bsky.social · 24/08/2026

Nothing specific, but Seaking is the best in the mirror because normally it takes two attacks to be KO'ed by Dipplin/Seaking, so I think playing a 2-2 line when a lot of Festival Lead decks (to my knowledge?) still only play 1-1 or 2-1 could give it the edge? Disclaimer: I'm not good at the game lol

100

🌻 Lich 🍄 @lichplx.bsky.social · 24/08/2026

Anyway here's my current main deck: Festival Lead! 🍎🎋 Gladion's Final Battle from Perfect Order gives the deck an edge over pretty much every deck EXCEPT Dragapult (aka the most played deck in the format lol). Even though Dipplin + Gladion OHKO's a Pult, that deck is too powerful 😅 #PokemonTCG

Idk if this happened to any other anti-AI Twitch users but I had to click 'opt out' three times earlier before it seemed to stick. Every time before that I'd click it, go to a different page, navigate back to check and it hadn't saved and was still switched on 💀

🌻 Lich 🍄 @lichplx.bsky.social · 13/08/2026

Was literally thinking of overpriced Yuka Morii cards when I wrote that earlier! Vendors will see people priced out of the big cards instead collecting affordable bulk cards for fun and think "hmmmm how can I make this about me?" 💀

010

🌻 Lich 🍄 @lichplx.bsky.social · 13/08/2026

That reminds me, my last stream title got flagged for the same reason because it was originally going to be "let me date Hemlock, you cowards!" - they made me take the word 'cowards' out! 😅 Someone (or tbh something 🤖) is probably taking the language moderation a bit too far...

010

🌻 Lich 🍄 @lichplx.bsky.social · 13/08/2026

Tangentially related to this image - I *hate* when vendors have a binder full of 2p bulk but they've priced it all at £1-3 because they've noticed it's a Pokemon/artist that people like. It happens all the time with these "girl binders" and it feels like an extention of the pink tax but for TCG 😠

There's a direct line to be drawn between the rise of AI and the digital-only future that no players actually want. Oh well, I won't own the media I pay for any more, but at least we'll have all these lovely data centres everywhere 🙃
