We weren't joking: District Arcade is going to be bigger than ever this year... We've partnered with the DC Public Library, the Game Center at American University, and Labyrinth Games & Puzzles to create a day of workshops and talks about building community through gaming. See alt text and thread!

We’re inviting you to participate as a workshop presenter at Games, Play, and Community: A Gathering of DMV Fun Makers, an informal summit celebrating the many ways games help people in the DC area connect, learn, and have fun.

This summit brings together local community partners to share ideas and best practices for building community through games and play of all kinds—tabletop classics like chess and mahjong, role‑playing games, video games, puzzles, and creative game‑based programming. We’ll be hosting workshops, talks, interactive demonstrations, and showcases across multiple spaces at MLK Library in downtown D.C.

We would be delighted if you would consider joining us as a presenter. Your expertise and experience would be a wonderful contribution to our discussions and sessions. The Friday summit will feature multiple topic areas (such as RPG, tabletop, and videogame programming) and we’re seeking presenters who can offer engaging, accessible workshops or talks for both organizational partners and broader community attendees.
