Close-up of the clay phone 😎📳 ((don't ask me what it's for. I'm not sure tbh I just love it)) #LibraryMonsterMakes #90s #80s90s

A Nokia-style cell phone made out of clay, dried, and painted neon colors. The background is orange, keys and screen frame are green, and little stars and hearts around the screen are pink. The screen background is neon yellow.

Art studio time! ... just fixing yard stuff nvmd #LibraryMonsterMends haha

There's several ceramic animals with ears, tails, and wings broken off. Gorilla epoxy is lying nearby ready for use. Further up, a metal sign "Dogs Welcome - People Tolerated" with a ground stake broken off & little soldering kit next to it.

Hey so what's masto.ai about? I couldn't really find an identity in their about page. I thought it would be like a haven of ppl who appreciate AI on mastodon but then their rules are like "we gotta keep this place human" 😄👍

Masto.ai's rules have big limits on AI use.

Okay I do understand the irony of my own comments

My first comment: there's a lot of tech & doomerism in my feed, which I don't begrudge. But I try to add memes & boost humor, photography, art. I love talking abt fandom & pop culture so I started #FDQ (fandom discussion questions) - hoping to drum up the opportunity for more regular chats btwn fans & pop culture junkies.

My second comment elsewhere on masto, going full doomerism: Why does "books" feel like "people's brains" ??? I see tech bros planning on selling immortality by claiming our bodies are just "delivery mechanisms for information" & some Isaac Asimov end to humanity

Lemme you how much I love putting kraken tentacles onto lighthouses meant for outdoor decor

Two lighthouses in my messy studio, one has iridescent green tentacles and the other one next to it is way bigger and it's white (just made it today so the foam clay is drying before I paint it)

I got the best shot of Tiberius!! 😂 his lil underbite & one ear up, tufts of hair from an attempt to groom his face. Another shot of Persephone on the chaise cuddling with me 🥰 #Dogiverse #dogsOfFedi

Tiberius is standing on piddle pads looking at me.

I’m sitting on a sofa couch with Persephone, scratching her head, she’s looking at the camera person, being a super cute shipoo

Kept seeing 'shrinkyclinks' as a tag in #stucky fics & can't stop laughing at the fanlore reference to Shrinky Dinks 😂

The idea of Skinny!Steve/WS!Bucky came to Stucky fans pretty quickly after the release of Captain America: The Winter Soldier in May 2014, but it is not clear where the name "shrinkyclinks" came from. It was probably based from the US 1970s children's activity kit Shrinky Dinks, a plastic sheet that can be drawn on and then heated in the oven, shrinking the item drastically, in an analogy to Steve's preserum size.

Shrinky Dinks art packs where you draw on the material and put it in the oven to shrink down into a durable plastic design you can make into a keychain.

I asked AI: I added a website to my home screen on my iphone through safari, but when I open it, there's no back or forward

What you're seeing is expected: anything added from Safari with “Add to Home Screen” opens as a standalone web app, so Safari’s usual back/forward buttons and URL bar are intentionally hidden. stackoverflow +1

What's happening

When a site is added to the Home Screen, it
launches in its own web app window instead

Pie chart that indicates 66.7% of my reading material this year was published in the 2020's, and the other 33.3% of it was published in the 1920s (Winnie-the-Pooh, lol).

This is a pie chart showing 18.8% of my reading material was by a white male author, 31.3% I didn't know (fanfiction pseuds), and 50% I knew were not white men.

Pie chart that shows 50% of my reading material for 2025 was fanfiction, then genre fiction (horror, fantasy, scifi), then evenly split at 12.5% between Contemporary Fiction and Classic Literature. 6.3% was "Children's Classics" (Winnie the Pooh again haha)

Finished my #mending from #Halloween ! So many tombstones to fix, & then there was this goofy indoor prop that kept cracking at the top. After several attempts with different types of glue (super, hot, E6000), I taped it, gesso'd the tape & painted. Don't look too close & it's great 😂

Halloween prop that looks like gross pipes with a lightbulb at the top. When you press the button the light flickers & there's sound effects of electricity static, zapping and failing. It's pretty clear where I mended it because the paint colors are a bit off.
