Am glad you asked. When you use your custom domain as your handle (look at mine 🙂), you can migrate to @eurosky.social without any issues— it does NOT matter who your registrar is. In fact when you migrate using EU-Haul, the tool will automatically detect your custom domain (screenshot):

Reminder: currently you can’t log into W app using your existing ATProto account. You can’t migrate from/to W without help from a dev. You can create a W account and if you want to post, comment, message & interact on W app, you need to successfully scan your govt ID + face (screenshot).

I‘ve heard that @mu.social doesn’t work well in Firefox & Vivaldi. But it does in Safari & Chrome. Am using mu.social on iOS— works really well in Safari as a web app. Tip: Log-in using “Sign in with Password“ (screenshot)— easier and allows you to enable/disable 2FA & generate MU App Passwords 🙂

With pleasure 🙏 I read your earlier post (screenshot). So, his pictures are not gone— they’re just stuck in his old server Bluesky 🙂 All he has to do is using the tool I posted earlier to retrieve his missing blobs. And yes, it is a known issue and fix 😉

Like Bsky, Eurosky, Blacksky, Northsky & other PDSs, W’s also built on ATProto (screenshot). The difference is that W is walled with ID verification + face scanning (if you want to post, comment, etc) to share the exact same open network with other ATPRoto users who don’t have to be ID verified 🙂

As someone who migrated 3 different 3 custom domains and done a round trip with 1 custom domain (this account), I agree that it’s not a problem at all. In fact, the EU Haul detects your custom domain automatically (screenshot) and gives you an option to choose a new handle 🙂

See screenshot below. Now go & edit your own profile eg: change your profile pict or header (just for testing). If you’re experiencing ”missing blobs” you’ll automatically get the “missing blobs“ error notification. But if you’re are able to update your profile, then your account is fine 🙂

Read a post mentioned about age verification banner appeared on @mu.social when OP logged into MU using the default OAuth login. OP loggod out & logged back into mu.social using “Sign in with Password” instead (screenshot) and the banner disappeared. Perhaps you should try it? 🙂
