Narrowly making her my character with the most body piercings. My current ttrpg character has one fewer earring. Monica also has two full sleeves of tattoos and a full back tattoo. Her love of body art and jewelry grew from her very early desire for self-expression and non-conformity.

Monica would probably spontaneously combust within a fancy restaurant- or its staff and customers would upon seeing her walk in. Greasy spoon places are in her blood and she will never let them go. Then she'll order seconds. Followed by a stop at a food cart for more on the way home after.

When I did my (unfinished) attempt at one a while ago I used the 3D tools using a lengthened cylinder object and positioned it so the camera was inside at the angle I wanted. Then a one-point perspective ruler for the foreground elements.

That's something that isn't discovered until that situation, since up 'til then nothing could hurt her. In terms of durability she's top 5 on the planet. Plenty of other non-physical weaknesses though.

Both actual examples from the story. The latter being a villain who can absorb kinetic energy and redirect it outwards. For a girl who solves superhero problems by punching them, it was a bad matchup.

Monica can be inside a collapsing building and she'll walk out, dusty and grumpy, but unharmed. A block of cement and rebar being kicked at her head at the speed of sound will fuck her up with a broken neck, skull, etc, but half an hour later she'll be healed up and ready to go.

Lianne looks good wearing anything. But her look is effortless- she doesn't put a lot of thought in. Ash is the one who takes time to make sure she's looking stylish as hell- plus her personality elevates normal outfits. The kind of style that doesn't evoke jealously, but a desire to emulate her.

Monica can speak English, Spanish and Tagalog fluently, and knows a good amount of German, Japanese, and Portuguese. Her memory combined with her desire to impress women internationally and led to that natural outcome. She also spent a lot of time with Raven's family in Metro Manila.

I've had to think about guitars and how music works a whole lot since I decided to write stories about Monica and her band. Lianne plays a bass guitar because I used her as my avatar when I played bass in the rock band video games. Still do. Not being a musician- writing about musicians is hard!

Ash by a mile. Always smiling, everyone's best friend, happy talking with anyone about anything. Does a lot of the talking in interviews. Everyone loves Ash. Big ol' sweetheart. That's why it's often a shock for people unfamiliar with their music hearing her belting out foul-mouthed metal growls.

Having deuteragonists provides a bit of both. Lynna's uncle knows her very well- that she's just a spoiled princess who can easily be utilized for his plans. He doesn't know Kath, whose presence fucks up the entire kidnapping plot. Then over the journey it turns out he didn't know Lynna either.

Lynnari is so happy she breaks princess character and gives her a big ol' hug. Which makes Kath very happy but her etiquette has been hammered in by years of knight training so she breaks less easily. But yea first meeting is appreciated by both of them.

Chapters 2 and 3 are Kath and Lynna reuniting after eight years apart. It's the core of the story. Discovering what's different, what's the same, and possibilities for them going forward. It's not as easy as it was when they were kids, since the canyon of a class difference is even more engrained.

I created Monica before I started transitioning. At first she was just a guitar player in Lianne's band, but quickly I realized just how much of her was aspirational for me. There's a lot about her I can't do myself, but in writing about her I feel like I became more of who I actually wanted to be.

Her being extremely stubborn means that if she regrets the end result but also thinks she wasn't wrong, it'll mean she'll go years without fixing it. It took five years, several near-death experiences, and gaining photographic memory superpowers to fix the band fuckup.

Monica by landslide. Not a quick thinker, extremely reflexively emotional, and easily the fastest mouth out of all my characters means this happens in 1/5 of her conversations. Usually it's small, she realizes right away, and she apologizes. But once it resulted in the breakup of her band.

Broadly, if each of the four are meant to fill an archetype, she is "the stoic one" of the group. They're quiet and incredibly observant- but also an extrovert. She'll call you out if you fuck up, then give a thumbs up and nod once you fix the problem. If you don't, that's when they get vindictive.
