You just got to really know the last of the Brazilian referees in this WC. They are putting on a ~show. In the 1st match, we had the red card hat-trick from Wilton Pereira, then Belgium-Egypt by Ramon Abatti Abel, and now Raphael Claus, the one I hate the most 😭

That's why I think the penalty area should be an area not in physical space but in phase-space, i.e., also taking into account the velocity of the player in possession + their direction. Imagine a player in possession, going away from the area, but is fouled. Should never be a penalty.

I'm so glad the world is able to watch the HORRIBLE referees we have here in Brazil. Ramon Abatti Abel's debut has been (jokingly) expected by us over the last few days. Raphael Claus is another trash referee that has still to debut in this WC.

I wonder if this is just an effect of fewer films being made, as Acevedo mentioned. I have no clue about the market. Are there more actors now than before? What about Matt Damon's answer regarding DVDs and the secondary market? Does this mean that there is less money being earned by the industry?

It was the 1st thing that crossed my mind

Later, Esteves met with US government, pleading for the tariffs to be lifted. We don't know much more about it. On the same day that Moraes' wife's connections to the bank were leaked, the US lifted the tariffs and the Magnitsky sanctions against Moraes. So, is that a coincidence or not?

There's a catch, though: apparently, the connection between Moraes and Banco Master was 1st discovered by BTG's André Esteves during due diligence before buying the bank (he did not). We know this because of possible connections between him and the journalist who leaked it (2/)

The worst is that the corruption scandal is not related to him! It is mainly Brazilian "Wall Street" people and right/center parties, who were corrupted by the owner of 'Banco Master'...the issue is that some Supreme Court members might be implicated as well.
