I’m so sorry mama Rainy to have to squish you in the kennel with your very large & fat, greedy babies but it’s only for 24 hours ;-; I did sit with them to make sure she remembered & accepted them & that she didn’t seem too stressed to be stuck with them all. There’s still one left to trap.

So ANGY. Loki spat at me twice, so I cleaned the blankets and this is the face she pulled 😂😂😂 I then gave her some good crunchy treats and she deigned to sniff them while I still held them!

I am allowed to rub Loki's ears if I approach very gently and ask politely. She is so impossibly soft, like a kitten, and I feel very privileged to be allowed to touch her. Loki is probably a littermate or cousin to Ahsoka. Same colony, same backstory.

Up early waiting for my dentist to be open bc tooth pain turned into radiating pain over the weekend. 🙃 Trying not to think about it but there's a good chance they refer me to the endodontist at which point like my entire day will be shot. Sigh. My body reacts really really poorly to lidocaine.

Doing okay, but also just realized in all my talk about burnout I never mentioned that in my late 20's I burnt myself out so badly I couldn't work for about a year. That's actually when I first got into sheltering. It was the only job I thought I might be able to do even after that year.

Barney! He's a very croaky boy at the moment, which does not bode well for his desexing appointment on Friday. It's all URI and if he was a toddler I'd encourage them to cough all the gunk up, but kittens are even worse at English than toddlers are.

Look at this boy. Look at him! A bit after this, I didn't have my phone handy, but he rolled over and begged for all of the belly rubs. He also pressed his forehead into my forehead and it was good.
