I think Tim is earnest when he says stuff like this. I also think that between this, the Apple lawsuit and like his 40yrs of on the record comments around the industry that he's misguided, surrounded by yes-men, and has a saviour complex which is a great combo as the majority owner of the company...

Just remembered Fumito Ueda's new game is being published by Epic Publishing...

@tolkoto.com has often said that he doesn't believe "X has aged badly" is a useful bit of criticism, as it's just people unwilling to adjust to older sensibilities… He clearly hasn't played this.

And remember kids, The Initiative is no longer an Xbox initiative.

I like that she's now signing these like Cher or Björk...

Me, when my personal political views are indefensible, and I need to quickly circle some wagons:

The funniest part is that current numbers for his new game are not terrible for a modern indie game in a niche genre, but he's clearly so neurotic after years of being told he's the smartest boy in the room that if he acknowledges he's not in the top 100 of active players on Steam, he'd implode.

I generally find using Steam current player number tracking as a measure of success silly, but cropping the Y-axis is fucking hilarious, Jon.

If you want to check out Qiwei "Soulframe" Liang's original attempt to create the kung-fu-punk world, featuring Soul and several of the story beat of Phantom Blade, he reposted an English fan translation of that game on the Internet Archive. archive.org/details/rain...

Heya folks, Just now realizing that I only have one more review lined up between now and the end of the year. If you are a looking for help with coverage on games big or small, gimme a shout!

I generally don't leave Steam reviews but made an exception for Star Wars: Galactic Racer.

Making a note of the prominent industry men doing promotional streams with known transphobe Jonathan Blow.

Lex will remember this, Edmund McMillen and Day9.

You would think that turning off resolution scaling would tank the framerate but maybe clear up the image... but (kinda doesn't hit the framerate much - which makes sense you can't go much lower than 800p and) I kinda think the smearing of TSR was hiding how broken the rain appears to be.

I love Star Wars Galactic Racer but it's maybe the worst case of "Steam Deck verification meaning nothing anymore."
