Dang. Hydra Steve Rogers getting preferential treatment in prison because a guard is sympathetic to nazism is way too real.

a prison guard saying quietly “i remember the dream of an empire.” to the evil, hydra version of steve rogers who is here in an orange prison uniform surrounded by others in the same garb and situation. he replies “Good man” and accepts the gift (that appears to be a mobile phone) the guard is handing him.

Two things that are unmissable for me are female protagonists and Gail Simone books.

I think about this comic all the time.

Comic by drawer of drawings on Instagram. A detective stands in a kitchen that looks like it's splattered with blood. The detective says, mother of god. Nothing human could have done this. In the bottom panel it says, earlier. And there is a dog uneasily holding a ketchup bottle with its paws trying to put ketchup on a hamburger.

…yeah, much like AI in every electric item we touch in 2026, i don’t know that there’s an opt-out for that.

Quicksilver saying “Splendid. You know… a brother could go his whole life without seeing his sister murdered by Cosmic Death. I… was worried, Wanda. I REALLY do ask that you cancel all future plans to Perish” to Wanda.

omg if you haven’t read this story wanda fills this lady with exploding boils and then makes pietro run to antarctica and back just to knee her in the gut. comic books rule, man.

I once asked a bookseller at a large indie store how many people would have to buy a book for it to get the attention of the store buyer and cause an additional order and they said: Three.

i adore @jedmackay.bsky.social ‘s Black Cat run. i’m a longtime fan of the character but she really needed someone with energy & inspiration to write her an ongoing & that’s exactly what she got. lots of stuff i’ve struggled through in my time reading comics, but from 2019? that was NEVER Black Cat
