Oh no. I've got a little bit of cheese on my salticrax

Cracker on a white plate with a little bit of cheese on. The cracker says "salticrax".

Its funny because salticrx sounds like salty cracks which sounds like a sweaty bottom and I am very much a child.

Are you attracted to people who dont know how to put books on a shelf?
Revealed: The 36 questions that can make you fall in love with ANYONE within 45 minutes
And a photo of two people on a sofa with shelves behind.

Yes. You're right. This house clearly belongs to one of them and that person thinks it's OK to to scatter books around the shelves in little collections of 5 or 6 books and put them WITH THE PAGES EDGES FACING OUT. Only an idiot would do this. This is both chaotic and unlawful. You really do not want to fall in love with this person. The accepted methods are:

Presentation
1) Mainly vertical but some horizontal stacking to use up all the space. Spine facing out
2) Vertical only. No stacking. Spine edge facing out. All spines read in the same direction.
3) Double stacking. Emergencies only, although it is generally accepted that most housing is unable to accommodate anything other than an emergency collection.

Order
1) Random
or
2) grouped by genre
and/or
3) grouped author
and/or
4) grouped title

Relevance of other properties
1) Colour. None. Just stop it
2) Size (height). Minor. Acceptable if shelf height is an issue but must then be ordered using the same system.
3) Width and depth. None. Why would this be useful?
4) Word/page count. Are you insane?
5) Emotional connection. Acceptable for a subset of books but this must be it own collection and kept separate to the main collection.
6) Price. Only if you allow strangers to wander into your living room without invitation and buy your books. However, given your idiotic system you must (without complaint) help people find the books they're after.
7) Smell. Only acceptable as part of an emotional connection sub collection.
8) Publication date. Recommended as a sub-grouping system (e.g. a book series when already ordered by genre and author) or for specialist collections.

Simple. I hope that clears things up for everyone.

# Glaikit Stane: The Sport o' the Midden

## The Pitch

Played on a 30-foot square court called "the haar" (permanently shrouded in artificial mist), divided into coloured zones like a snooker table but covered in a thin layer of neeps, tatties, and other detritus that must be swept aside before each shot.

## Equipment

- **The Stane**: A granite curling stone with three embedded dartboard segments (20, 1, and 5 - the Shooting Stars scores)
- **The Skelp**: A regulation bowl filled with Irn-Bru (players drink when they foul)
- **The Besom**: A traditional broom for clearing your shooting lane
- **The Wee Uvavu**: A small tambourine that must be struck before each turn (tribute to Vic and Bob)

## Basic Play

1. Players must first **sweep a clear path** through the midden to their target zone while whistling "Donald Where's Your Troosers"

2. **The Hurl**: Bowl your stane toward the jack (a miniature bagpipe called "the drone"), aiming to position it for optimal darting

3. **The Pointy Bit**: From wherever your stane lands, throw three darts at a board positioned at a randomly determined angle (decided by spinning the Uvavu)

4. **The Snooker Gambit**: If you score exactly 147 combined points (stane position + dart scores), you may "pot" an opponent's stane by hitting it with yours while it's raining (a sprinkler activates for 30 seconds)

## The Shooting Stars Clause

After the 7th end, all players must stop and perform the "Club Singers" round - attempting their sport while humming club anthems through a kazoo. Points are deducted for maintaining dignity.

**Victory condition**: First to 500 points OR most items successfully cleaned from the haar, whichever comes last.

I'm getting in on this evening's #aurora action! Not as magical as I expected tbh. Looks not dissimilar to low cloud. I'm not sure what you're all getting worked up about.

I think he'd pick this one
A really terrible photo edit made by me. Its one of the proposed Trump uniform photos but with Stalin's jacket and hat pasted on top. As you can tell, no AI was used or harmed in the making of this aweful joke image. Obviously the joke is that Trump is a) somehow compromised by Putin et al and b) a massive fan of brutal dictatorship. I shouldn't need to explain that. But if you've got as far as reading the alt text and still persisting on reading my gibberish this far down, maybe you need a little help.

Anyway, me mocking the bastard won't change anything. But will give me a few seconds of relief from this God aweful shit show that we find ourselves in. Trump is far from the only problem, nor the biggest, but fuck me, he perfectly represents all the power hungry life sucking leaches of society that have led us here. Fuck em if they cant take a joke.

The cast of Bottom. Ritchie's bottom is on fire. Eddie, Dave & Spudgun look on with mild amusement. The cast of Black Books. Bernard, Manny & Fran are gathered round the desk/table/cash register, drinking wine (obviously). Bernard and Fran are listening to some mad rubbish that Manny is saying. There's a customer in the background, but who really cares about him (I mean, im sure his friends and family do, but as far as the plot goes hes just peice of set decoration).

I've Just remembered this from Christmas dinner. Me, @akbea.bsky.social, the boy (11) and my mum (78). Luckily, I think only I heard Mum trying to identify this cracker gift. "Is it a butt plug?" I had to explain (and demo) how a wine bottle stopper works. Raises questions I don't want to hear.
A chrome effect wine bottle stopper. Basically a cone with a sphere stuck on the wide end and two rubber o-rings part way down the cone. I'm not an expert but I imagine the cone is too pointy to make for a safe but plug.
