Deborah Lipstadt's "clarification." If you're saying "What's the problem? I referred to a white Christian 19-year-old's antisemitism as being part of 'intifada' and that's logical actually"... Maybe just take a step back from participating in conversations about antisemitism? You're not helping.

It makes Jews much less safe when we presume all antisemitism comes from Muslims, and imply it couldn’t possibly be Christians. Sincerely, A Jew who lived in Jackson, loved living there, wore a yarmulke every day, and is unsurprised a white, religious Christian man set fire to the synagogue there

Wow it’s worse than they predicted. Zohran got elected and immediately there are all these floating monsters in the New York City sky, trying to prey on our children and take their parents’ money. #Socialism #ChagTurkeySameach

Thank goodness that the ADL calmed us all down less than 6 months ago, reminding us it’s silly to presume that Elon Musk’s gesture was anything other than an “awkward gesture in a moment of enthusiasm,” and centrists shook their finger at us wacky leftists who thought maybe he kinda likes Nazis!

It's horrific that in our world "Palestinian children deserve to eat" is seen as "controversial." That Jewish orgs need to debate whether it's "mission-aligned" to sign onto that statement. Not complicated! Sign on! Individuals: www.foodaidforgaza.org Jewish Orgs: docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1F...

"The crucial element of the Genocide Convention is that the acts that constitute genocide must be 'committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group.' Was this true in October, 2023? I still see no evidence that that was the case. Israel may or may not have responded with disproportionate force; that debate will likely never be resolved. But there were warnings of bombing attacks, there were systems in place for humanitarian aid, and there was an obvious, and I would say compelling, military objective.

This was even true in the Spring of 2024, as the devastation increased but the strategic goals and humanitarian assistance remained. The International Court of Justice was correct that there was 'plausible' evidence that the Genocide Convention had been violated, but not yet compelling evidence.

But today?

Israel's current actions are, to cite the Convention, 'deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part.' Unlike in 2023, there are now ample statements by Israeli ministers, military leaders, and former military leaders, that the strategic aim of the continued destruction of Gaza is, simply, to destroy Gaza and force much of its population to leave. This is ethnic cleansing and this is genocide -- an act committed to destroy, in part, a national group."

"Israeli bombs do not distinguish between Hamas supporters and the thousands of Palestinians in Gaza who have turned out to protest Hamas. And the use of mass starvation as a military tactic? This is beyond inhuman. It is genocide." Important piece from @jaymichaelson.bsky.social.
Image of a Forward article by Jay Michaelson, with the headline "I supported Israel's actions in Gaza in October 2023 -- not anymore" and the sub-header "Critics were wrong that Israel's 2023 actions constituted genocide -- but they are right in 2025."

Here's a non-exhaustive list of terminated Jewish Studies NEH grants. To the rooftops: there's no sliver of a goal of "fighting antisemitism" when it comes to the decimation of higher ed. They're not "trying to fight antisemitism," but doing it inexpertly. "Combating antisemitism" is fully pretext.
Image, entitled "NEH Grants 2025"

Terminated Awards Filtered: 9
Total Value: $2,458,916

Below, 9 projects with the word "Jewish" in the title. Sample titles include "In the Shadow of the Holocaust" and "Reimagining Jewish Life in the Modern Middle East, 1800-Present."

Projects are from states all around the country.

@returnstosender.bsky.social: "Our NEH grant for 'In the Shadow of the Holocaust: Short Fiction by Jewish Writers from the Soviet Union' has been terminated." This project doesn't support "the furtherance of the President’s agenda.'" Imagine believing Trump wants to "fight antisemitism."

This goes viral every once in a while. But the wild thing about it isn't "LOL, funny that pdf comes off as if it's a religion," but rather "No PDF starts as a PDF. So in this framework, we all have our religious-identities not because we're born that way, but because we 'convert' to them."

When people voice concern about antisemitism on campus, ask their thoughts about antisemitism toward non-Zionist Jews at UCLA, to glean if they’re interested in antisemitism…or just in squashing the voices of non-Zionists (Jews and otherwise). newvoices.org/2025/03/23/b...

Disgusting. ADoLatry strikes again. At some point a pro-Palestine Jew — from outside the US and attending an American university — is gonna be detained or deported. And a bunch of Jewish “legacy” institutions theoretically committed to “global Jewish peoplehood” (ADL first) will applaud that too.

I'm devastated about this to a degree that's maybe not reasonable. ATH was so special for so many. - Race off the school bus in middle school - Run to the tv at 4:00 Central Time - Learn what simultaneously intense and loving arguments look like That was the routine. So grateful I had it.

What a surreal encapsulation of anti-Palestinian racism. A Jewish and pro-Israel man shoots and injures 2 people because he thinks they're Palestinian. They're actually Israeli. The two victims respond by assuming the shooter was Palestinian and an antisemite, with one posting "death to Arabs."

With love, we are really missing the core of the story with Musk. Whether or not what he did was a Nazi salute, he has publicly professed support for a far-right German party that many (including, funny enough, the ADL) see as the heirs to Nazism in Germany -- and which has been growing in support.

In case anyone was nervous about lack of Jewish representation, the Rambam (Moses Maimonides) is prominently featured in the world’s only penis museum — the Icelandic Phallological Museum.

In just over 2 months (since Nobody Wants This season 1 dropped), usage of the derogatory word "Shiksa" has gotten so thoroughly normalized that the NYT is publishing articles implying it's just a benign, neutral word for "non-Jewish woman." My fellow Jews, can we please stop with this?
text from a New York Times article: "The Netflix Series 'Nobody Wants This' centers a 'hot rabbi' falling for a blond shiksa (non-Jew) who is only dimly aware of Judaism but who is presented as a luminous, lovely contrast to the domineering, whining and otherwise repellent Jewish women in his orbit."

Jonathan Greenblatt, focusing on the left again as white supremacists fill Trump's cabinet. Some responses: 1. AIPAC spends a huge amount of money to influence Congress. When you say "saying true things is antisemitism" it makes people not take you seriously when you call out actual antisemitism!
