I’ve been practicing meditating for a while, and have started to notice something like this. I can sometimes get the scene to happen the same way more than once, but only if I set my mind to it. Usually just comes as a random flash of inspiration while doing something else.

This is so real. Oftentimes when the art inspiration strikes, I am busy doing things required for my survival (like working). When I do have time for art, and there is no inspiration, I feel like I am “wasting” my free time. It is very rare when the inspiration and the free time occur together.

First pass on the color for the main reference. I like the lighter belly, but the flanks need more dark blue. Inside of the legs could use some color gradients as well. May make the shaft darker. Eventually these colors will be blurred together, and I will add patterns to the wings. #WIP #oc

Fangjvir has always represented "me as a wyvern", but lately I've been exploring what that means on a deeper level through a lot of reflection/meditation. Translating what I've learned into a sketch was also fairly difficult. Luckily, this process won't be as hard for my other wyvern characters.
