We were sold a future that no longer existed at the time we took out our loans. We were told that the loans were temporary pain for a long term gain while we were signing up for a system that benefited boomers while praying on their children and grandchildren. The error isn’t/wasn’t you.

I see so much more value and growth in lifting the weight over my head than chipping away at it. I can see it as a fight I can’t win or I can enter the fight not with the goal to win but just to damage the competition to such a degree that the next guy can finish what I started.

Or I can fight and choose to come out of what had happened better than what I was coming out of whatever trauma I had endured. I can choose to not let anyone feel the way someone else or some event made me feel.

Having repeatedly being dumped on the curve and that being an unfortunate repetitive story in my life I’ve learned two ways to really productively heal. I can chip away at it and let things go piece by piece depending on the size and weight of what’s been endured.

Emotions manifest in a variety of ways when you’re abandoned. Whether it’s being abandoned from friends family or even being laid off from a job. The change in your brain chemistry and your healing from these moments is never linear. I think the same can be said about healing from these events.

I’m so thankful that I met someone who loves me and got me through so many of the nightmares I was unraveling at the time. Without him I would have fallen deeper into homelessness and been choked by my depression. I can’t believe that now we have a house with happy deer bouncing around ❤️❤️🦌

Almost nine years ago I was ghosted by my partner and being pushed into the streets from a bedbug infested apartment in down town Chicago. I just escaped conversion therapy and was working an internship. It was bleak but then this wonderful guy came into my life and yesterday was his birthday ❤️❤️

I really appreciate it Ember ❤️. I’m glad that you were able to get distance and I hope you’re doing well. I know that family dosent mean the ones you share blood with. Sometimes I’m haunted by things my family has told me in holidays past and I struggle to not let it rent space in my head.

Holidays bring forth difficult emotions and questions that will go unanswered from family members no longer around. The abandonment, being told you weren’t wanted in your teens by your grandmother and how those words echo endlessly on holidays like today that we so heavily associate with family.

We can honestly thank alot of manufacturers for this because they really stepped up. (Out side of the US that is). Many of the suppliers I worked with in mainland and in Taiwan have made their facilities carbon negative running everything on renewables. We’re still not at 100% but there is hope.
