Excited to have this study of the Hellenistic sculpture from the Villa of Herodes Atticus published in the JRA. Ft Homeric heroes, an eccentric billionaire, a few murders & a special eagle helmet, this is not classical sculpture for the faint-hearted! Available open access: doi.org/10.1017/S104...

New fieldwork this week on Paros, #Greece! 🏺 🏛️ Ground-Penetrating Radar survey adjacent to excavations at #Hellenistic and #Roman houses and a sculpture workshop. 3D modelling of structural remains will also tie in with subsurface features captured by radar. /1

A snowy November day in Copenhagen is the perfect excuse for a quick trip to the incredible Thorvaldsen Museum! One of the most beautiful museums in a city full of them, it's entirely dedicated to the life & art of Denmark's most iconic sculptor. What's inside? Let's take a look in this 🧵! 🏺🇩🇰
