I’m morbidly fascinated by the beach houses falling into the sea in Rodanthe. I really want to go see it in person. (I also saw online that highway 12 washed away again this week?)

Screenshot of a Facebook post by Epic Shutter Photography, showing a large cream colored object that beach house so close to the ocean that the surf is washing up around it.

Screenshot of a Facebook post by Epic Shutter Photography, showing a smaller brown beach house completely isolated by the churning surf. All of the beach front has washed away and exposed the house’s pilings. It looks like it’s built on stilts.

I’ve worked at my job for an absurdly long time, but because of mergers, no one acknowledges my real original hire date. It’s 9/7, and we celebrated belatedly tonight with a nice dinner out!

My dinner. A burger with chicken breast instead of beef patty and house made deep fried chips. My celebratory drink was a very alcoholic Moscow mule.

Sweater progress! I’m sort of winging it here to adapt a minifee/msd pattern to a larger scale, but I’m pleased with how this is going so far. Also, using yarn from the creative reuse place! (I hope I have enough!! 😬) #dollsky #bjd #volks #knitting #knitsky #handmade

I got ridiculously lucky recently and found a skein of Noro Secret Garden at the creative reuse center for $2. It’s as gorgeous as you would expect, but it seems to be pretty old (based on the OG price sticker). I‘ve looked and can’t find more of the colorway online. 😭 #knitting #knitsky #yarn

Mail day! I found Draculaura’s organizer on eBay, and it’s so dang cute. Idk what I’ll do with this doll but the case is going to store all of my other G3 girls’ accessories and clothes. #dollsky #monsterhigh #draculaura

Coffin shaped organizer in black and hot pink, decorated with Monster High patterns.

Open view of the organizer. Under the lift out tray is a well large enough for a doll. The interior has molded tufts and a pillow to resemble the interior of a coffin. A Draculaura doll rests inside the organizer.

The bjd hobby took a huge hit this week when the forum owner nuked DoA, and I’m real salty about losing my marketplace feedback history there. I’ve been a member since 2005! Of course this is nothing compared to the loss of 20 years of English language doll history. #bjd #balljointdoll #dollsky

New pen day! Unexpectedly received a Scriveiner pen this weekend. It’s weighty and solid, and I like the pull-off cap rather than having to screw it off. Inked it up with Lamy Dark Lilac and brought it to work. 💜 #fountainpen #lamy #npd #newpenday

I was REALLY sweating it as I got close to the end of this sweater. 😬 Thankfully I had just enough (because I bought this yarn second hand, with no label, and no sure way to get more). #knitting #bjd

A mostly finished doll sweater on sock needles. There is a questionably small amount of yarn left to finish the second sleeve.

The doll sweater is now complete. About 1 foot of yarn was left over at the end.
