This rocked. Style oozing from frame to frame with the whole cast acting their ass off. I’ve never seen the ethos of this period captured with such precision. Incredible stuff.

This lives as the best Batman film ever made.

The scale of the movie really hit in 70mm IMAX. I hope Nolan doesn’t feel obligated to shoot 100% of future movies in the format, but I really enjoyed this final theater screening with the full intended experience.

They don’t make em like this anymore

We are going to rewatch The Odyssey, but I think this is still my favorite Nolan.  I’m eager to rewatch because the connections between the two are even clearer.It has all his best tendencies packed into a three hour court drama that feels kinetic and full of emotion. An absolute beast of a movie.

All of Nolan’s films are outstanding. This is certainly a masterpiece. Saw in IMAX.

This movie defined middle school and  laid the groundwork for my taste going forward. It aged better than expected!

Technically incredible. Emotionally didn’t have me in the first have, but the ending really brings it all together. I liked the more modern reframing of who Odysseus was and what he did, and how that impacted his journey home, and I felt like it worked really well.

What a weird, weird little film. I can absolutely see why it flunked so badly, but it's got a lot of strange charm to it. I don't think I've seen anything quite like it in years. I'm glad I watched it before reading the book, because I suspect I'd have hated this otherwise. Crises of masculinity, crises of identity, crises all the way down. And poor Harry - let go of your shame and be free! Great performances all round. Bruce Willis's comedy chops were always better than his action chops, I've thought.

This is objectively really well done but deeply unpleasant to watch - not my kind of horror movie really

A selfish brat grows up to be a fascist leader, much like the Treaty of Versailles led to the nazis, hence the setting. Loosely based on a Sartre short story.  One of those reasonably good films that you know you will only watch once.
