I love when fantasy series have a dude called something like Stephen the All-Seeing, Keeper of the Demon Sword, hero of the Volcano Age. But in some tiny village, he's known as Bees Steve, that weird guy who loves beekeeping. The more uppercase titles the legend has, the funnier the contrast is.

Ori and I decided to do some last minute camping this weekend. We managed to score a one night reservation at Cape Disappointment State Park so we drove down yesterday. It was great getting out of the city, spending time on a beach, and seeing some cool old history! 🚐🌊🌲

I've noticed I've become noticeably more misanthropic lately. Part of it I think is age, but a lot of it comes from how I perceive society as a whole has been progressing over the last decade. It's tiring trying to live and survive in this world let alone thrive.

NE Oregon road trip write-up thread! (Because I want to share cool pictures) 7 days, over 1300 miles travelled (many of them on dirt roads), all in an 18yo Sprinter 3500 with over 500k miles on it. 😎 Day 1 was driving down to my parents place near Terrebonne, OR for my dad's 66th birthday. 1/8

The path we took driving around NE Oregon and back up through SE Washington.

Today @letocollie.bsky.social and I celebrated my birthday properly. We went to a bunch of antique and craft stores, then had a little drink before collecting plants and gardening. We found the dumb bird statue and added it to our yard art. I'm very happy with our little outing 🩵
