Somehow I feel like I equate my usage of BlueSky to the hockey season or to collectibles. While the bulk of what's on my feed is the complete opposite. I guess that's good, as I love reading through thoughtful posts - just makes me feel like my own are trash. 😂

Also, some recent pickups. I've slowed down on buying Nikishin cards due to his... uncertainty. But this came in for cheap from the land o' Canada. As for Kooch, he'll always be my boy. #SoundtheSiren #Canes

Have to give a shoutout to Liberty Bell Jerseys. Stankoven: He stitched on the SCF Patch and Nucor. The customization was done by Fanatics/Cool Hockey. Bussi: Fully customized by LBJ (including Nucor patch). Had an Adidas Primegreen MiC lounging in the closet that needed some love.

Carolina Hurricanes Away Jersey (Red, Black, and White). Customized to #22 (Logan Stankoven). Has Stanley Cup Champion and Nucor Patches.

Carolina Hurricanes Alternative Jersey (Red, Black, White). Customized to #32 (Brandon Bussi). Has Nucor Patch Stitched.

Crazy that it’s been a week since the Canes won the Cup. The parade was crazy, the speeches were amazing, and the ongoing party the boys are having is just hilarious. Glad to see Raleigh showed up, and other North Carolinians. #soundthesiren

With all this "Nordiques vs Whalers" coming up, it would probably be the **best** time for the Hurricanes to release a modern (Fanatics template) navy blue Whalers sweater/jersey. The whites are great for road games, but the navy blues were some of the best jerseys ever designed. #RaiseUp

It’s wild that there’s even a single person believing that the rumors of McLeod being signed has anything to do with Warf leaving — let alone multiple. It’s clear that there’s a business perspective that he and Dundon didn’t agree on, and there’s a lot of stuff going on in the Canes Org as a whole.

021

Endaeias @lethargy.ws · 27/09/2025

The TL;DR (ignoring nuance) is that obtaining information isn’t illegal - it’s how you use it. Intent to harass or harm will make it illegal, distributing it for the same intent can (in most cases) be as well. There’s a lot of generalization and nuance in my response, so check out the link. 🤔

Endaeias @lethargy.ws · 27/09/2025

Some truly unhinged stuff going down on X for #RaiseUp fans. Someone soft-doxxed Tulsky out of frustration over the Canada Hockey 5 possibly being signed to the Hurricanes. Then most of the response was hyper-diligence of reporting her to the FBI, acting like she was a domestic terrorist...

Finally happened - gave up on TikTok. It became a bit of a cesspool after recent events and the algorithm just became more aggressively political. Hadn’t seen a hockey, video game, or funny video since last week - no amount of blocks and “not interested” fixed it.

000

Endaeias @lethargy.ws · 19/08/2025

Disappointing. It’s clear that the Hurricanes organization has finally reached the point of ignoring Pride Night altogether. Here we are in 2025 where the LBGTIA community is already being ostracized by sycophants and brainwashed loons but the Hurricanes just “all-lives” them like it’s nbd.

With the Hurricanes’ 24-25 season behind them, exit interviews out and about, and Rod doing a few PR runs … guess it’s back to gaming and watching reruns of “King of Queens” and “Everybody Loves Raymond” for a few months.

010

Endaeias @lethargy.ws · 23/05/2025

I’ve seen a lot of wild #RaiseUp takes - from firing Rod to throwing in Nikishin to “Chatty would have saved us.” The reality is that Florida plays the same system that the Canes do - they’re just larger, more physical, and have more talent in front of the net.

7,000 units in a quarter means that if you *are* seeing someone driving around with a Cybertruck, they're genuinely the lowest denominator of people who drive. Pretty sure even the Yugo GV sold better than the Swatiskar.

Didn’t exactly *need* a new wallet. But my wife found Second String Leather - they repurpose goalie gloves and leg blockers (this model came from used stock of Frederik Andersen of #RaiseUp) into watch bands and wallets.

Leather wallet that is white, red, and black. Shows “L12.2” - which is indicative of it coming from a TRUE 12.2 goalie blocker pad

While this comic was removed due to "reformatting the comic strip portion" of Gannett-owned newspapers in the United States, it's important for it to get out there. This is our current reality - not the future, not some fictional world, this is the current state of the United States of America.

Frame 1:
Teacher: "Okay let's be clear about the CAUSE of the civil war.."

Frame 2:
Teacher: "It's cited in SEVEN state declarations of secession!"
Student (Thinking): "Hmm... wonder if I should rat her out..."

Frame 3:
Teacher: "Something else not in your new textbook... nearly 100,000 SOUTHERNERS volunteered to fight for the union..."

Frame 4:
Teacher: "In fact, it was ALABAMA cavalry who flanked Sherman on his march through Georgia.."

Frame 5:
Teacher: "Unlike their neighbors, these men ACCEPTED Lincoln's free and fair election. They fought to preserve democracy."

Frame 6:

Student 2: "Mrs. Johnson, this is Florida. Isn't it against the law to teach us the full story?"

Frame 7:

Frame 8:

A “Canes Reflection” post - was at the CAR vs NJD game this past Saturday and have to say it was one of the more wild games I’ve seen/been to in a while. A LOT of physicality (41 hits) and the atmosphere was almost as intense as a playoffs game. Finally, congrats to Rod for breaking the record.

Some fights are necessary on social media. But I do agree, we need to do better in identifying what topics are essential and genuinely help vs those that are doing more harm across the board. Regardless of platform, imho, but here on BlueSky especially.
