One of my watermelons split. Now I know about the heat thing 🥲🌱

If a store sends me multiple emails "reminding" me to review my purchase, I rate them as low as possible for the annoyance. One polite ask is enough-- beyond that, you're making me regret my purchase.

Those are great picks! The fall/early winter harvest stuff. I just wasn't prepared to succeed (ha) and now I realized I don't have room for a late plant. Embarrassment of riches, I guess. Never had watermelon work out before now lol

Ooooo what plants? And what approx zone are you in? Bc I have one of the friendliest growing seasons ever (norcal), so I consider a lot off the table by this point (not bc I made that exact mistake last year.... don't look at my post history😭)

I just saw it today! Had a couple itty bitties that died due to the fact I used black platforms to support sprawl. A gal I worked with raised on a farm told me to cover the surface in hay or burlap so the heat wouldn't cook them and I got this! Really flew under the radar until today 🥹

The fact that I can hit "clear all" on my notifications and the EXACT SAME notification will show up two seconds later is a crime.

I hate how subtitles omit cussing now, like it's just presented as a different statement without profanity. Garbage.

happy bday one of my favs poet Robert Frost, b.1874, San Francisco. "I shall be telling this with a sigh Somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I— I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference.”

I'm glad someone took the Final Destination threat seriously and discontinued the penny.

My supposedly green tomatoes are red-- did I get the wrong seed? Or is there a reason this would happen? (Growing outside of normal season bc of overestimating the warm season in northern CA. Near freezing temperatures at night present, if that helps diagnosis).

To the guys discussing celebrity and theater actors with "big schlongs" last night at the stage show of Kim's Convenience-- thank you. Your conversation was very amusing to overhear 🤣🤣🤣

Will hot weather hurt them or make them blister in some way? I just want to learn so I can know what's up. I live in Cali, where there are risks of heat waves well into October, sometimes in the 90s for a day or two-- even in early fall ✍️🏽

Anyone good with pepper identification? Grew these from a mystery seed pack from Tyler Farms and they’re shaped like mini bell peppers, about 2.5 inches in length and ripen from green to red. I thought they were going to be sweet and they are but then you get blasted with Serrano level heat. 🌱

Came home to water my plants after my overnight shift.... and the only watermelon sprout that came late and gave me hope for that fruit somehow didn't take root/is dead and gone???? 😭😭😭😭 Fml 🌱

I live in Cali, so two growing seasons are normal. We can grow basically all year minus a couple months. Which zone are you in? Cuz I bet you still have enough time. 🤞🏼
