A Calvin and Hobbes weekday strip, all three panels used for one outdoor winter scene.

Calvin has shoveled a path from the front door the long way around the house and back to the driveway with piles of snow behind the car, in front of the doorway, and at least two on the path.

He's s speaking to Hobbes the Tiger on the path with the shovel over his shoulder.

"If you do the job badly enough, sometimes you don't get asked to do it again."

But finding the source could be elucidating, even if it's not directly related to an extant acronym. It could point to reorganization, people moving across the org, importation of an outside term. The interesting PO one is BMC. If you ask someone in a plant what a BMC is, they will tell you this
A Post Office "BMC," a large aluminum container with a perforated door door, a visible wheel break, full to the top of the door with packages, with DETROIT BMC stenciled on the broad side.

March 2024 WSJ
A bar graph describing the seven swing state's surveyed attitudes on "Has the US, or your state's, economy gotten better or worse over the last two years." Published in early 2024. (Share saying better minus share saying worse. Negative indicates greater share said worse.)

The over all assessment of the national economy is -31 while not a single swing state has a negative response to the economy, with Arizona +31 at the top and Wisconsin at +17 or 18.

Tapper DESIGNED them himself. Mr. "We'll never let a Biden situation develop again!" author thinks this is actually sending a message.
Bottom right corner of the Reporters Committee of the Free Press merch (specifically a pocket square that will be folded and unreadable) with Jake Tapper's signature next to the last letter of the text of the First Amendment statement expressed as "Congress Shall Make No Law Abridging The Freedom of Speech or The Press."

The design has been explicitly been presented by Tapper as a way to show solidarity and fight back against Trump at the White House Correspondent's Dinner in 2026.

Combined split of the tail of a fossil Stegosaurus in an exhibit with a signed line drawing of the caveman Thag next to it and on the left the Far Side cartoon depicting another cave man in front of a group of other cave men(?) pointing to a slide projection in a cave room pointing at a stegosaurus's four tail spikes saying "Now, this end is called the thagomizer... after the late Thag Simmons."

Paleontologists actually named it after this cartoon in honor of Larsen.

Second Sight. Made by the same people who made the Timesplitters games and half the team that made Goldeneye for the N64, it's a FPS/3rd Person action game about a skeptical psychologist who wakes up in a medical facility who has flashbacks to a period 6 months before.
Cover art of the Free Radical Design video game Second Sight, depicting a bald man bathed in red light from above only lighting his upper body, hands held over his face with his fingers covering most of his head as though in pain or confusion, slightly bent over, also not allowing you to see any details of the face.

Even with the wrists and the bottom of the shoulders are the words Second Sight in white with ghostly red shadows of the words offset behind them.

"DIFFERENT" comic from webcomicname dot com

In the first panel, a pink crudely drawn, small humanoid in a well ordered space with objects on shelves and a table says "I want things to be different"

In panel two, the same humanoid is seen breaking all the things on the shelves and likely the table with a baseball bat with everything in the air.

Panel three shows and utter mess and the small humanoid saying "oh no."

Just a reminder. Fuck the media.
A Chris Hayes post saying "But if a few people in masks start lighting stuff on fire? Then you have news. This creates an *enormous* attentional advantage towards the most violent and chaotic kind of protest" illustrated with a picture of 10 people gathered around one park garbage can, tipped over, bent off the top rim with a fire all taking pictures and video, over-exaggerating the violence at an otherwise peaceful protest.

I have never said traditional search "knows" anything, I have only said I want that full context, not a synthesized, decontextualized answer. If you read that into anything I said, then that's on you. Perhaps because you have an epistemological view on knowledge as a binary?
pic of four targets. upper left is low accuracy, low precision with darts scattered at seeming random. upper right is high accuracy, low precision with generally most darts close to center but spread, bottom left is low accuracy, high precision, with all darts closely grouped but far from center, bottom right is high accuracy, high precision, with all darts very tight on the center.

If a correct statement of TCWs beliefs, he's no different than Charles Murray, he just doesn't dress it up with statistics
While class is important for Williams, class politics isn’t. There is only so much that initiatives to lift the poor from poverty can achieve, we are told, because “the fundamental political unit, going back to Aristotle, remains the family”. The left has got it all wrong, obsessing over the “macro level” when real change apparently happens at the individual level.

Failure of national media to do their job I'd say.
Polling results in bar graph form in the Wall Street Journal for the 7 swing states just before the 2024 election, showing net positive views of at least 15 points for each state's economy but a net negative of 30 points across them that the national economy has gotten worse.

"Share saying better minus share saying worse. Negative indicates greater share said worse."

As is the IDF apparently.
Tommy said his commander ordered his unit to use Gazan civilians to search buildings for explosives instead of dogs.

"They were Palestinian," he said. "We sent them in first to see if the building was clear and check for booby traps…They were trembling and shaking."

"We talked to our commander, and we asked him to stop doing it," Tommy said, but they were ordered to continue. He told CBS News it was policy.

The practice even has a name — the "mosquito protocol" —
