unique haul for 1 day of Dragon Ball Vs 2 days of One Piece (and OP cost more lol)

main disappointment was how bad participation prizing is, imo it sucks to just give out boosters for a major event, in Dragon Ball it was all unique promos! I did the math and they must have opened 150-200 cases of OP17 across the weekend, would much rather those packs went to stores instead

I enjoyed my first One Piece regional but I definitely wouldn't bother committing to both days again it wasn't worth the additional stress and expense and I'm still recovering, it's not like my dumb ass is getting into top cut anyway

now the One Piece regional is wrapped up I'm chilling on card games for a bit, there's one more OP and Dragon Ball regional in the UK this year and I'm not bothering with either of them, I do enjoy competitive play but regional practice is a Lil Too Close to feeling like revising for an exam

the Toei version probs makes this worse but I do think what sags this for a lot of people is the Shandorians are kinda clumsily introduced and then there's a lot of hopping around which makes it feel like both nothing is happening but also too much is happening

I've only been playing the game for realises for about a month and Koby is the deck I'm most comfortable with by far (mostly cos it resembles a Dragon Ball deck) I also hate mirrors in this game so I don't want to play meta and get salty about dice rolls all day lol

admittedly as I've fallen out of love with wrestling I haven't seen a lot of Pac's recent work but the title match he had with Zayn in NXT was what locked me in on watching that show every week for a while, also mad respect for him walking out on them for not being booked to the level of his talent

Townfall in the books, a mixed bag but there's some banger moments in there, some tighter design in some parts and a little more dreamlike subtlety would've elevated it. It's pretty blunt with what it's going for from the first hour but it's generally well done just doesn't crawl into your mind

but in these Scary Pac-Man games where sneaking is the optimal approach most of the time you're encouraged to figure out exactly how the monsters behave and in a game like this where they have set patrols duckwalking behind them works 100% of the time, mechanics don't matter as much as variables

not breaking new ground here but Townfall is a reminder that the idea of "less effective combat = scarier monsters" is fundamentally flawed unless you come up with something else to fill that gap (also instantkill monsters immediately become more annoying than scary after they get you once lol)

I watched the full Hasan Axious interview (the one the terrorism clip is from) and it's like entirely gotcha questions designed to farm clips of him praising China/Russia/Hamas etc. and he manages to juke about 95% of them gracefully with an answer noone can really argue with
