Coding is latin for "intimidating for the common mortal", but they're evidently going to make the tools easier and easier to use with low barrier of entry. It's also both the best time to launch a business, and the most dangerous. Those platforms make it easy to create - but soon to replace, too.

You know you've worked too long in marketing when your 4 year old asks you "daddy, do you know how plants grow?" and your first instinct is to tell him about double jeopardy.

I enjoy BlueSky, it’s nice, but it just doesn’t have the vibrancy I was looking for. It’s becoming another doomscroll for me, and at the moment it’s part of the constellation not helping me get on with more pressing things. As such I will be deactivating my account for the time being. Farewell!

We simply had to intentionally destroy the world’s strongest economy while dismantling our scientific and educational infrastructure to ensure that a team with a trans girl would never finish second place in the Mountain West volleyball standings again

Their entire game-plan is using language to condition people to think abusing people they don’t like is a matter of national security. They’re always “fraudsters”, “extremists”, “terrorists”. They’re literally weaponizing language in order to justify unsavory actions.

I'm no big fan of manifestos, most are exercises in empty corporate speech meant to make the writer feel like a pro. But this isn't any manifesto, it's Miyazaki's project plan for Totoro, written in 1986. Enjoy.

MAGA accusing others of pushing hoaxes is some next level idiocracy. This whole thing is sickening, and the silence of “but her emails” republicans is absolutely shameful. Reading the news is depressing, these people are abject.

you think this administration cares about the truth, or even making sense? They got to power without either of those.

I don’t think “marketing tweeter” (the good and the bad) has found its place now that Twitter is gone. It seems most have simply moved to LinkedIn (which isn’t the same), while some here, like me, are struggling to stay on topic with everything going on.

That’s a new one- email was in my inbox by the time I landed. It means they flagged that something wasn’t working, sent it to a customer response system, and activated the response. Pretty neat, and the kind of service that makes sense in 2025.

7/8 No, what we are witnessing is a dark descent into American white nationalist fascism, draped in the language of free speech.

4/8 Fascism always starts by targeting someone who seems acceptable (or at least disposable) to oppress. But inevitably, it comes for everyone, because the only loyalty oppressors have is to themselves.

2/8 It is incredibly naive to assume you’ll always end up on the right side of the fence. Given enough time, you will either have to fall in line, or else.
