South of France, soon. Lavender heat, salt air and this stretch of coast is about to turn red, as La Vuelta rolls out of Monaco and along the Riviera. I love that contrast. Speed and stillness, sharing the same coastline. Counting down the days.

I signed up for sailing school this summer. Partly because the water is where I think best. Partly because I already care for a 1960 sailing boat and it seemed overdue. Ready for the humbling experience of learning something from scratch. ⛵️

One thing I find myself wondering: why do so many high-end hotels in Germany use the colour combination of grey and purple? Purple certainly isn’t a colour with a sexy reputation. Grey isn’t exactly lively either.
