Well, you can always count it as relax time 😂 My desk is by the window on the street and sometimes I just sit looking at the cars and people passing by lol 🫣

LemonPebble📚🎮🫏 @lemonpebble.eurosky.social · 10/10/2026

But still I didn't get much of the proper thing, guessed almost everything and to this day I'm wondering how the heck I didn't fail the listening part 😂 Sorry for the long text but I like sharing this story 😅

110

LemonPebble📚🎮🫏 @lemonpebble.eurosky.social · 10/10/2026

I felt confident at every part because there's not much grammar, vocab and kanji so I had it all well practiced. But listening took me off guard on the real test. At first I didn't understand a word and was afraid I missed a few questions but fortunately it was just an introduction lol 😂

LemonPebble📚🎮🫏 @lemonpebble.eurosky.social · 10/10/2026

If you decide to self study for ME, make sure you take some time to prepare for the listening part (Bunpro mock tests may be a good reference). Back in 2019 I self studied for N5 in just 6 months (not exactly from scratch) and apparently used resources that were way too easy than the real thing.

LemonPebble📚🎮🫏 @lemonpebble.eurosky.social · 10/10/2026

Oh no, back at school I almost always had 5s and 6s from everything but never got anything else than 3 at the stretching test throughout all my education (1 is lowest and 6 is highest in Poland), so I'm either falsely intelligent or falsely not flexible 🥸

LemonPebble📚🎮🫏 @lemonpebble.eurosky.social · 10/10/2026

I know it can be harder with language apps though because there you actually want to do it everyday, just not forever, and the number goes up just by the way of it 😅

110

LemonPebble📚🎮🫏 @lemonpebble.eurosky.social · 10/10/2026

Oh damn, that was quite a streak. I know that it can still hurt a bit, even if you actually wanted it to be over. I really dislike streaks, they're a toxic mechanic. That's why in GeoGuessr, which I got back to a month ago, I purposefully make days off so I don't see the number get too high.

LemonPebble📚🎮🫏 @lemonpebble.eurosky.social · 07/10/2026

I've no idea what this thing is but if "change" means what I think here then Polish "zmiana" is wrong as well 😂

120

LemonPebble📚🎮🫏 @lemonpebble.eurosky.social · 07/10/2026

Yeah, conjugations are something you need to get used to. I started with Japanese more than 10 years ago and I've treated it more seriously for 7 with a 2 years break, so I had plenty of time to acquire it 😂 Have you checked Kaijugation tool on Bunpro? I think it could help you remember them better

100

LemonPebble📚🎮🫏 @lemonpebble.eurosky.social · 07/10/2026

Oh, and you need to look at grammar stats with a pinch of salt because I kinda brute-forced it 2-3 years ago without much understanding so I'd probably struggle with most of it 😂

100

LemonPebble📚🎮🫏 @lemonpebble.eurosky.social · 07/10/2026

I stopped following decks and mostly add stuff I encounter through immersion or output exercises, so now it's mostly heading towards N3 but with bunch of higher level stuff that happens to be useful (and often easier lol) :)

100

LemonPebble📚🎮🫏 @lemonpebble.eurosky.social · 07/10/2026

I would like to learn it as well. But I'm afraid I wouldn't have enough persistence for stretching exercises 😂

010

LemonPebble📚🎮🫏 @lemonpebble.eurosky.social · 07/10/2026

Haha, that were people from the forum 😂 But from my experience it may be hard to drop the hints in grammar later on as well because on higher levels you'll start getting synonymous grammar like 10 different ways of expressing "when" so then you can either guess or use the hints lol 😂

Has Firefox become faster in the last 2 years? I saw a Firefox video on YT and thought that I could make a switch but I recently got back to GeoGuessr and I remember Firefox lagging on it terribly. But then I decided to actually try it and wow, it runs the same if not faster than in Opera 👀

Update: no one replied my email but I can access Stack now so that's good

000

LemonPebble📚🎮🫏 @lemonpebble.eurosky.social · 05/10/2026

Tbh I got used to the feeling, my whole language journey for all those years has been extremely suboptimal 😂 And actually I'd say try to optimize only if you already have a sustainable routine because steady slow progress is still better than doing nothing 😃

110

LemonPebble📚🎮🫏 @lemonpebble.eurosky.social · 05/10/2026

That's totally fair, finding out what works best for yourself is the hardest part of language learning 😂 Actually I also think my Bunpro study could be more effective if I forced myself to read the full sentences but I always feel like having too little energy for that 😅

100

LemonPebble📚🎮🫏 @lemonpebble.eurosky.social · 05/10/2026

I wonder how it goes for you because on Bunpro forum I've seen people complain about N5 grammar being tough to fill in without enough information. I can't speak for myself because I had already passed N5 when I started using Bunpro. But it's just something I wanted to make you aware of 🙂

110

LemonPebble📚🎮🫏 @lemonpebble.eurosky.social · 03/10/2026

Tbh idk, but as far as I remember it was the last time I used Stack so it would be a very weird coincidence 👀

111

LemonPebble📚🎮🫏 @lemonpebble.eurosky.social · 03/10/2026

Tf? Did they trace my Bluesky account and found out I mocked their date display? 🧐

Oh, I get it, so it's simply obsolete in Finland. It's kinda similar between Polish and Czech. The names popular in Czech are often those that in Polish remind of someone being like 80 years old 😅

I don't know much about Finnish or Estonian - why does your name sound more Estonian?

101

LemonPebble📚🎮🫏 @lemonpebble.eurosky.social · 30/09/2026

This caught off guard for a while. I wonder why it would hurt to make it say 10 years ago. People are more likely to read something written 'over a year ago' than '10 years ago'? 🤨

130

LemonPebble📚🎮🫏 @lemonpebble.eurosky.social · 26/09/2026

At least this is how works in Poland. I've literally no clue about construction law anywhere else, I can just guess because law is usually quite similar across the Europe 😂

110

LemonPebble📚🎮🫏 @lemonpebble.eurosky.social · 26/09/2026

I'm no expert on law but I think everywhere in Europe you need to have some kind of consent from municipality to build or destroy anything big, even if it's on your own land, so there's no way someone would do it on their own😅 And if it's a historical building (older than 100 years) it's even harder

Watching F1 with Japanese commentary more often would probably boost my skills of parsing numbers quickly 😂 #langsky

I'm no fantasy girl so I've never felt a strong desire to play it. But about 2 years ago I bought the complete series on sale for like 3-4 euro as I thought it would be nice to check out why it is such a good game and now I found time for it 😂

111

LemonPebble📚🎮🫏 @lemonpebble.eurosky.social · 24/09/2026

Haha, that's fun indeed. Actually at the moment I'm on my first playthrough of The Witcher starting from the first part (ik such a shame especially for a Pole lol) so I haven't seen Roach yet 😅

110

LemonPebble📚🎮🫏 @lemonpebble.eurosky.social · 24/09/2026

I can see this as well. It's so sad, it looks like many people didn't stick to Bluesky...

LemonPebble📚🎮🫏 @lemonpebble.eurosky.social · 24/09/2026

they probably save space and money this way. But when you look at XX architecture (which I think the houses from pic are) they are either fully detached or one house split in two. So it's more depending on region, not all Europe looks like that 🙂

120

LemonPebble📚🎮🫏 @lemonpebble.eurosky.social · 24/09/2026

I think this kind of architecture is most common in UK/Benelux (and maybe Scandinavia?) region. For example in Poland you can commonly see connected buildings in centers of old medieval towns but would be utilizing space efficiently, I guess. Or nowadays when developers build lots of houses,

It's been such a long time since I've worked on any programming project for pure fun and without any deadlines (probably since high school I'd say). After that it's been either uni projects or game jam games. It's such a refreshing feeling to feel motivated by pure desire to create something 😌

030

LemonPebble📚🎮🫏 @lemonpebble.eurosky.social · 15/09/2026

I'm afraid that some may not be able to understand the point 😂 And those who do are not the target audience

LemonPebble📚🎮🫏 @lemonpebble.eurosky.social · 13/09/2026

Turns out Unity 6.3 utilizes slnx instead of sln requires a higher version of dotnet sdk. Atm I'm updating all packages to see if being up to date with system helps. If not I'll have to solve it manually or downgrade with Unity version. Annoying tbh, I just wanted to work on my game for an hour 🙃

LemonPebble📚🎮🫏 @lemonpebble.eurosky.social · 11/09/2026

I need to start posting on my game dev account again. I started developing my game so soon I may have some content to share as some kind of dev logs 🎮

I'd probably have a similar collection if I found all of them and put in one place. And vast majority is probably those that came for free with various appliances 😂

Yay, Bluesky finally supports horizonal view! That's such a good news for me browsing it mostly on my tablet

LemonPebble📚🎮🫏 @lemonpebble.eurosky.social · 07/09/2026

I watched a video in French for the first time in like 4 years and I feel so excited about including French as a 3rd language into my routine. I still want Japanese and Turkish to be my main focus but I longed for some indoeuropean languages as well to boost my motivation with some easier progress 😂

LemonPebble📚🎮🫏 @lemonpebble.eurosky.social · 07/09/2026

Yeah, I've been living in an apartment since birth so this is the only life I know. My mum was born and brought up in the countryside and had lived there till the last grade of primary school so she often tells me how much she misses having a garden or reading a book under a tree 🙃

100

LemonPebble📚🎮🫏 @lemonpebble.eurosky.social · 06/09/2026

My dream is to live in a house as well to have my own private place for spending time outside. However, dreaming about it you definitely forget those additional chores that come along 😅

LemonPebble📚🎮🫏 @lemonpebble.eurosky.social · 01/09/2026

I have decided on the game dev project I'll work on after finishing my thesis. I'll rework and expand my puzzle game from one of the game jams. This is meant to be a rather small project for a few months. My goal is to release my first full game and see how it goes. I'm already excited about that 🔥

LemonPebble📚🎮🫏 @lemonpebble.eurosky.social · 28/08/2026

I'm already tired of myself constantly misspelling 'noise' as 'noice' 💩 Please tell me natives do this as well 😅

They gave me hope lol. It got sent today and because it's Friday I'll get not sooner than Monday. Fortunately in these online days I can listen to it anyway - I'm probably on my 4th time, idk, I stopped counting lol I kinda like it, Keep Me Fed was better though imo

100

LemonPebble📚🎮🫏 @lemonpebble.eurosky.social · 28/08/2026

I just received a message from DHL that a new package was created. I didn't buy anything recently so this can only be the new The Warning album releasing this Friday. Does that mean that I will receive it on Friday? 👀 That would so damn awesome if so 😭
