Watching The Silence Of The Lambs on VHS in order to add another layer onto the cocoon of nostalgia psychosis that I have woven around myself as a way to detach from the modern world.

It’ll never stop being funny/sad to me that to get labeled a “radical socialist” in US politics, all you have to do is gently ask for the basic minimum things that every other wealthy democracy has already had for years and years (paid maternity leave, minimum wage you can actually live on etc).

This movie was sometimes painful to make because it reflected the grief I was feeling losing three people I was very close to. Disease is cruel and random. Thanks to Christopher Abbott and Julia Garner for bringing that pain to life so beautifully.

Just got off a plane in Australia, turned on my phone and see that the constant, slow slide into a dystopian dictatorship in the US continues unabated.

When Republicans talk about the “radical left”, they’re referring to anyone who wants the US to have the same social safety net that every other wealthy democracy has. Universal healthcare, living wage, affordable college etc may be the norm in Australia, the UK, Canada, but in the US it’s “radical”

Just watched “It’s Never Over, Jeff Buckley”. So tragic that he left us so young, yet he left us with a piece of perfect art. His album Grace has spoken to me at so many moments in my life. We humans hurt each other a lot…but sometimes just one of us gives the entire world a gift that lasts forever.

Walking around my beloved hometown of Melbourne, I visited a local icon - The Tote. A rock n roll institution. Also the place where I shot the worst student film of all time, The Demise Of Fallon Thomas, about a punk band who kills the people who comes to see their shows. It looks exactly the same.

totally get that. there are so many times when i'm doing rough drafts of sceenplays no one will ever see that i catch myself reading shakespeare-esc novels with more fluffy world building than dialogue 😭. it seems your scripts are a terrific mix. loved the chance to read all of them!
