It’ll never stop being funny/sad to me that to get labeled a “radical socialist” in US politics, all you have to do is gently ask for the basic minimum things that every other wealthy democracy has already had for years and years (paid maternity leave, minimum wage you can actually live on etc).

This movie was sometimes painful to make because it reflected the grief I was feeling losing three people I was very close to. Disease is cruel and random. Thanks to Christopher Abbott and Julia Garner for bringing that pain to life so beautifully.

When Republicans talk about the “radical left”, they’re referring to anyone who wants the US to have the same social safety net that every other wealthy democracy has. Universal healthcare, living wage, affordable college etc may be the norm in Australia, the UK, Canada, but in the US it’s “radical”

Just watched “It’s Never Over, Jeff Buckley”. So tragic that he left us so young, yet he left us with a piece of perfect art. His album Grace has spoken to me at so many moments in my life. Walking around my beloved hometown of Melbourne, I visited a local icon - The Tote. A rock n roll institution. Also the place where I shot the worst student film of all time, The Demise Of Fallon Thomas, about a punk band who kills the people who comes to see their shows. It looks exactly the same.

right now i'm reading the script of wolfman which was written by the amazing @conanthecontrarian.bsky.social and his wife. i'm a movie freak but more importantly an english freak, so i love reading screenplays and occasionally you'll come across gems leave you staring and this is one of those lines-
