There is a lot of scare mongering about GST. Let us assume you earn £50,000 and you have no mortgage, make no pension contributions never holiday off island and every penny you spend is on goods or services which will be subject to GST at 3% the max impact on you will be £1500 ignoring mitigations

As an old age pensioner I feel qualified to comment on pensions, for the record I do not see any problem with pensioners paying income tax if their income exceeds the personal allowance nor do I agree with the triple lock there is no need to link pensions with average earnings just inflation

The damage the 💯 has done to cricket was there at Trent Bridge for all to see. The superb 100 by Mitchell was peppered by the “mob” in the Fox Road stand by repeated chants of “boring boring Mitchell” while the totally irresponsible innings of Stokes and Brook were met by ecstatic applause. So sad
