The arguments against Zionism is Racism seem very similar to those used against pro Trans positions in the Green party: It's divisive. Voters are put off. It won't change anything (why is everyone so angry then?). Some people feel targeted or unsafe. Lots of the same characters too.

All week we've had a scorched earth campaign from senior Greens in our media decrying the Zionism is Racism motion as not Green values (it is). Meanwhile they have at the same time been trashing a very settled Green value - our one member, one vote led democracy because they didn't like the outcome.

Did you know? In 1975 the United Nations general assembly passed a resolution declaring "zionism is a form of racism & racial discrimination" (the resolution was revoked in 1991 because Israel made this a condition of its participation in peace talks)

Re ZiR: I say, everything can always be redebated. No argument should ever be one and done. I never say the debate should cease after victory. The Stoic wouldn't see any ruling or law as absolute truth ad infinitum. So whilst I agree with the outcome; I concede the outcome is never fixed in place
