These mitts were once a beautiful wool baby blanket that I’d knit before my youngest was born. The only photos of it are from the hospital. Shortly after, it went in the dryer 😭 Now 15 yrs later, my MIL made me mitts out of it. I’d kept it all these yrs, not wanting to part with it ❤️🧶 #knitsky

I am holding a pair of mitts over the snow outside. I’m about to go for a walk. These mitts were made out of a baby blanket I’d knit for my youngest before he was born. It got thrown in the dryer shortly after we returned home from the hospital. So it shrunk significantly and got felted in the process. These mitts are super warm now!! The mitts were knit out of hand painted wool in colours of purple, olive green, and ice blue.
