i guess, but this is still not definitive imo. i doubt that she saw every set, she wasn't a showrunner, and to me personally a person who doesn't support israel outright, but still calls it a "complex situation" is meh. i don't think this is really evidence to the contrary

sorry i'm rambling at this point, but i was just BORED watching this by the end... this season was supposed to be us getting into lestat's psyche, and i think we kinda dipped one toe in and then it was that. nothing burger of a season where lestat is Suffering, but not really?

last two episodes have exactly zero things from the book they are adapting, but we got armand retroactively making his movies flat and Evil, torturing louis for half an hour, lestat NOT doing any retrospection, daniel just. standing around. what was even the point of bowing? so much setup for what?

nothing happened the whole season. they doubled down on the rockstar angle and didn't even film The Concert. they didn't explore lestat's trauma in the past, apart from gab which was just repetitive and very unnecessary in a way that i was sure someone there enjoyed incest soft porn

i was giving the show A LOT of leeway in the beginning, but umm... this is such a loose adaptation i don't even know what rolin was doing to that book so it looked that way. because it wasn't reading. i'm not a book purist in any way and i was Okay with the story up until around episode 4, but jfc
