We feed the squirrels & this one was one of our favorites. Mom and kids (and me) horrified. Mom became upset, as did the kids. She kept saying she was sorry. It was an accident, a confluence of random events. But a shitty event in which to participate. 💔 Be kind to the critters out there.

Kids nextdoor, Boy 5, girl 4 approx, saw me playing with Stella and came over to throw her the ball. Mom came out to check on them just as little girl threw the ball too hard and it crossed our busy St. Mom ran across St to get it, spooked a squirrel into the St and it was hit by a car....
