My goodness there are so many insanely good video games out there. I've been playing, in short succession, Hades II, Disco Elysium, The Procession to Calvary, Endless Legend II, Carrion and the first Danganronpa. I love video games.

That's a great step in the right direction. It'll be a while until we can hoist jumbo jets into the air on battery alone, but keep experimenting please! Air travel is incredible, if we can just cut the pollution part of it. Will probably need a major step in battery technology first, though.

Rewatching The Hunt for Red October, which has no business being this good. Incredible flourishes, acting, music... and of course this flex of a scene where they switch from Russian to English with a Bible quote, with "armageddon" as the turning point because it reads the same in both languages.

Around when I became 30, which is now 13 years ago, I decided/discovered that I wanted to be a real gosh-darned writer after all. I felt SO OLD and LAGGING BEHIND! Hilarious ofc. It was the best decision I ever made, followed by the most wonderful time in my life that's STILL ONGOING.

Caught the 20th anniversary rerelease of The Departed, first time watching. It's a VERY angry movie (which is par for the course for Scorsese!), there are several shots of guns firing at the viewer, but at least Nicholson is having the time of his life. Enjoyed it.
