i feel like good comic-making is leaving clear guideposts for your readers, but not instructional signs. they can still interpret how they want, but they have indicators of where to go!

the whole “art comes from pain” broadly speaking idea… feels predicated on the pain being in the past. active pain in the present can only make so much art. you can’t be actively suffering and want to create?

i know i am not perfect, but i did nothing to warrant to way i was treated. to be told i am “nothing.” but it still feels like my fault. i am picking up so many pieces and trying to figure out what they even mean.

he called me almost two months ago. screaming. he said i was still the love of his life. but to me, for years, he hated me so /so/ much. why would he treat me the way he did, otherwise? why did i answer the phone? well, none of it makes sense. i’m so angry, and sad. and it’s so hard to express.

sometimes i see this sentiment of people wanting to start smoking or be a smoker… as a smoker i’m just like, “then do it? what’s stopping you…?” i know why people feel this way and why they don’t actually want to smoke… but you are an adult, you can make those choices? join me in bad decision making
