Geek, Football Fan (Hull City and England), AuDHD Liberal politics. Despise right wing populism but also worried about the rise of left wing populism. Not against genuine well thought out views that I disagree with. Also, we named the dog Indiana!

This my boy Indy, he’s 3 1/2 years old He wants only two things in life To be a good boy, and to one day hold two tennis balls in his mouth I’m loving every moment I’m spending with him as we nearly lost him to pneumonia last month Enjoy every moment you can with your pets - they’re worth it!

Have been reading this for a few weeks. Reading has been slow in recent weeks as my dog has been close to dying (he’s not full cured by out of immediate danger). This is a fascinating read on how the world has gotten to such a mess - and something I’ve been saying for 20 years…

Written by very talented other half, this is her 3rd book and is out today. This one has some seriously big name authors backing it, and many excellent reviews!

And this is the actual first line of the book - and I thought it would be a distraction from the real world…

Third book in this trilogy - hoping it’s not as terrifying as the Fascism book

As someone who regards him as political centrist this was a very interesting read. You don’t see too many books specifically on Centrism and found a fair few interesting insights. @originstorypodcast.bsky.social

Going back and showing the books I’ve recently read - may get into the habit of writing a review below each post at some point

I’ve been struggling to decide what to post on here for ages… but as I always post what book I’m reading elsewhere this seems appropriate - especially as Douglas Adams os the finest humour writer of all time!
