Last night was an incredible #XBOXFanFest! Besides seeing Major Nelson and Acey Bongos after years of absence again, we also had the chance to meet Asha Shar. But my true highlight was the in memorium of our late friend Kollaps. Thanks @aarongreenberg.bsky.social / Maxee 🥺💚 @xbox.com

@lokijimmyb.bsky.social and my statement regarding the current Sea of Thieves situation.

Heyho,
most of you are aware of the current situation, so we won't go into detail...
(Be aware to abide German law, no matter how clear the situation may appear the presumption of innocense applies until a court reaches a conviction. Therefore we're forced using the term "alleged" for legal reasons, this doesn't reflect our opinion on the situation.)

We distance ourselves clearly from the alleged predator and from any behavior that harms children or young people. We strongly condemn his alleged actions and the alleged crimes, and we wish all alleged victims strength and all the support they need.

We continue to believe that Sea of Thieves is a great game with a great community. We reject guilt by association entirely. For this reason, we will not allow the misconduct of a few individuals to overshadow our enjoyment of the game, our free time, or our relationship with Rare. Like many community members and Partners, we are demanding an official statement from Rare, accountability, and clarity on how similar cases can be prevented in the future.

Both of us work full time, we play Sea of Thieves for fun, we do not aim to generate income from it, and we are simply here to unwind from everyday life. For that reason, we kindly ask you to keep this entire topic out of our Discord and our streams.

The past few days have been surreal. As someone who’s loved @rareltd.bsky.social since the Donkey Kong Country era, being invited to the studio felt genuinely special. The open conversations around Custom Servers were great, looking forward to see how the feedback shapes further development.

LokiJimmyB and Leator stand indoors wearing matching black T‑shirts which read: "We visited the studio, asked for Obsidian Underpants and all we got was this lousy T-Shirt". They’re smiling, with tables, chairs, and large windows in the softly lit background.

LokiJimmyB and Leator stand beside a large Sea of Thieves display featuring Belle, a glowing blue‑eyed pirate statue holding a torch in one hand and Obsidian Underpants over her other arm and a barrel-shaped structure with illuminated blue lettering. Bright natural light from tall windows fills the modern studio space behind them.

Large group photo taken inside a modern studio space, with around thirty people (developers, SoT Partners and AA leadership) standing and smiling toward the camera. The room has wooden floors, big windows, hanging spherical lights, plants, and a table with laptops and small figurines, giving the scene a creative, collaborative workspace atmosphere.

@lokijimmyb.bsky.social and I were lucky enough to be part of the small group of AA leadership and SoT partners invited to visit the @rare.co.uk studios. It‘s great to see the @seaofthieves.com team actively seeking feedback from a variety of communities and creators.

Had an amazing night! Thanks @xbox.com for 10 years of #XboxFanFest. Loved chatting with @aarongreenberg.bsky.social, @bondsarahbond.bsky.social & Xbox fans. Chatting with Craig Duncan about how he could help us bringing Obsidian Underpants to @seaofthieves.com might have been one of the highlights💚

3 of my best friends are in this photo. Two of them I only know thanks to @cats-conspiracy.bsky.social reaching out after @lokijimmyb.bsky.social and my LFC post for a competition at the first #SoTFest! We‘ve met the evening before the event, where he introduced @notcatsx.bsky.social to us. 💚

Thank you all for an other amazing #SoTFest. Sadly too many people to tag. Only two crews managed to beat our new Rockband x SoT Parkour Challenge. It was so incredible seeing the reactions to the challenge & having @chapperschapman.bsky.social giving it a go. See you all in 2026 👀

I have to come clean... After a long discussion with @cats-conspiracy.bsky.social, I am now unsure which side I am on with the bread/toast debate. Some Germans might consider this basically treason.

Leator #SoTFest @leator.bsky.social · 28/10/2024

You can plug the controller in via an USB cable. Also when done correctly it should only move the camera. Doing it while in an emote, also works and doesn‘t make movement sounds.

020

Leator #SoTFest @leator.bsky.social · 28/10/2024

When I‘m afking I have a „special way“ to put down my controller on the couch so my character keeps spinning around. But careful: Never tried it out on PS5 or PC, but Xbox recognises that something‘s not right, switching off the controller to save batteries after a few minutes. To avoid this …

Leator #SoTFest @leator.bsky.social · 26/10/2024

Yes, this is a fair representation of how the Underpants Brigade should be treated. PS: I‘m very modest.

070

Leator #SoTFest @leator.bsky.social · 26/10/2024

For several reasons I‘m always pro right to choose between console only or mixed servers. What I absolutely don‘t like is console specific servers, like PS5 only servers in Sea of Thieves. (I know most likely Sony demanded that, but it‘s just unreasonable.)
