I always struggled with gender and could never find the words that described how I felt but when I first started practicing buddhism I read something like "our souls aren't limited/defined by our bodies but we can change our physical forms to be more comfortable" and I felt everything click

To expand on this: Bigotry isn't a result of an innocent misunderstanding, or not having all the facts. It's not a choice made rationally, defeated with a rational argument. Bigotry is a self-protective, foundational belief used to help make the world make sense to them. Debate won't change that.

I do not care how good AI ever gets at anything - I am literally never going to use it voluntarily when I lost a job for being too loudly skeptical about it. There shouldn't have been a reason to stomp me into the dirt if what I said was just regular incorrect as opposed to financially dangerous.

I think it's implied that he made the deal with the CEO guy after the heart transplant, and then the CEO visits him again in the hospital before the court day to check if they're still on the same page and that's when the ultimatum happens. it's super confusing, I had to watch a video about it xD

the other characters are dealing with their own guilt too in their own way, like the shitty CEO guy's narrative changes a couple times because he see's himself as a victim. it's sad that Simon doesn't get a good ending either, considering he was a victim himself and was hurt by the company too :c

I think most of Simon's guilt comes from being blackmailed into saying the company didn't do anything wrong during the court case and being the only survivor of the accident. he's in denial and trying to block it out but it's haunting him for not being honest and doing the right thing
